Or... NA guilds on FA transfer over to Sea of Sorrows.  We're absolutely dominating as a server now and steamrolling Tier 2.  You remember how we used to get 100% map during Oceanic hours right? Well now we hold it overnight with our new NA guilds.  If a few more solid NA guilds were to transfer over I highly doubt any server could stand a chance against us including the powerhouses in Tier 1.

If anything, SoS does not need more NA presence. Your server has already received a massive influx of NA players, you don't need more.

lol if you ask me the last thing SoS needs is more guilds. I will stay on FA unless PTX tells me otherwise, and I can tell you alot of the dedicated WvW guilds wont be going anywhere. There's no reason to go, our NA crew can go blow for blow with the best of em.

A few decent sized EU/Oceanic guilds would put FA into T2 easily.

It would make FA competitive in Tier 3, but you guys still have quite a way to go before you can survive in Tier 2.
There's currently a very big difference between Tier 3 and Tier 2, one that would make FA reconsider the strenght of their NA crew if they were currently in T2.

FA is stil on the right path, but still has a way to go before being ready for Tier 2. It'll need more than a few decent sized EU/Oceanic guilds, it'll require a few big ones and a little bit of work on their NA crew. It has the numbers in NA, but still need a bit of polish to go toe to toe with Tier 2.

That's not to say that FA is not currently strong, it's mainly a testament to how heavy the competition currently is in T2.

Left foot...right foot...left foot...right foot.

But seriously, this a good step forward. We can use the small numbers of people we have been getting to build a base of which to get Europeans and Oceanic players.

The recruitment is going good from the ads, we're looking at getting a 100 man euro guild to join over sometime today or tomorrow. Apologies for a double post, I am just updating this thread.

This is great news, hope it works out. Just need some more people to help hold our stuff.

I know PTX and ECHO feel it when we lose a fully upgraded Tower or Keep over night. GODS sure does... :P

ALSO:

I WOULD LOVE TO PULL AN ALL NIGHTER ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY WITH SOME EUROS OR OCEANICS.

Not all the time, but once in awhile. :)

I am going to direct you guys to this post, reason being our troubles are much of the same.

http://www.guildwars...ns-welcome-too/

Read it, consider it and get back to me.

As someone mentioned in an erlier post on this thread it would benefit NA guild / alliances to come to EU servers due to latency issues. I play from Florida and decided to make the move to Far shiverpeaks(EU) from Jade Quary (NA) due to the long que's. After a week of research I decided FS was the right place to be. There is practically no lag and no que's for NA players.

We have a very strong community that you can get involved with located http://www.farshiverpeaks.com/ .

Any and all are welcome.

P.S swedish chicks sound so sexy on mumble!

Here is a proposal I would like to make, send over a guild / allaince representative for a week (since xfering is now locked to a week). I will set them up in the alliance / guild I run with, (which is the biggest on the server and one of the most powerful in EU combined) get your feet wet. Report back to your leadership how things went. I  can give you my word you will not be disapointed.

Sorry for the double post. Cheers!

Yes, everyone in Echo gets very, very quiet when they first log on and see we lost some tower or keep we spent our money and time on.

When fighting Yak's this week, I noticed that they have at least 5 guys in each tower and keep on the map. This is something that we need in each keep and tower.

Edit: Another update, a 70 man Japanese guild has join Fort Aspenwood.

I feel very confident that none of the more dedicated WvW guilds are thinking of leaving as far as I know. We have a lot of good guilds on this server (Echo, PRO, NICE, PTX, GODS, BT, BL, ULTD, and a few others I apologize if I forgot you.) Fort aspenwood has great potential and all we need is a night crew to pull ahead. Every Friday night we tend to be first in score and first in PPT and lose it all overnight. We are most definitely the most lopsided server in terms of NA vs Oceanics/Euros/Asians. This thread is restoring some hope in a lot of us seeing the great work done by Rush to help move some guilds over.

The 100 man EU guild that is considering moving over is now voting on it within their guild, at the same time their leader is trying to gather up some other EU/Oceanic guilds to join them in the move and form a night force alliance.

The recruiting is looking good for Fort Aspenwood.

Ohh look FA is turning into SoR. Congrats on getting your illegitimate point lead. 200+ transfers? GTFO. Sorry to the legit FA that were putting up a good fight.

Would have been a fair fight were it not for these transfers. We just have a strong weekend presence ALWAYS that is why it felt you were being outmanned for the match.

Lol, just as an FYI we haven't had any massive influx of transfers. We had a 70 man Japanese guild move over and another 40 man Euro guild, which I would hardly call a lot of transfers remembering the wagongate ordeal. The 150+ european guild that may move has sent 1 person over to scout out the server, and they are currently voting on it within their guild.

Our current PPT comes from some hard work, dedication, and good fighting by our normal folks.

But let's stay focused on topic shall we? Keep up the recruitment drive guys!

Its also worth it to note that the PPT happened during NA primetime anyways. And as stated due to HARD WORK(and zerging lol).

Not sure why this dude is so upset. I am assuming he's a Yak..which is even stranger since they lead by so much. Its just a game. :(

Anyways we welcome our new friends with open arms. Can't wait to have fun with them the next round.

Updates for everyone, I'll list who I know has moved so far.

-9 man elite euro squad joined GODS
-20-40ish man AU guild moved (they are still moving people according to my AU commander)
-70 man Japanese guild confirmed moving as well (confirmed by my co-leader, he talked with their leader)
-100 man EU guild (the one from earlier posts) confirmed as having moved. (They are recruiting in LA, and myself and my co-leader talked with their leader).
-Individual people [17 atm] (I have met 12 personally, my co-leader tells me he has met another 5).

We're looking good. We were able to take almost the entire map from Yak's and Eredon early this morning (NA early).

The 100 man guild that moved over is recruiting more EU guilds in as well.

Good work everyone who helped the recruitment going, it means a lot to me and everyone in Fort Aspenwood.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has put in the recruiting effort.  It was an awesome moment to wake up and see that we had the ppt lead while drinking my coffee this morning even though we are facing a server with a substantial overnight presence.  So again, thanks to everyone for the hard work.

Transfers happen all the time, we just have a guy keeping the rest of our server informed of any transfers. Who's to say YB hasn't gotten the same if not more since they are ahead in the points. As it stands now FA has to score 315 more points than you per tick for the rest of the matchup just to catch up. You'll have your precious tier 3 matchup next week, don't worry.

Shouldn't any new euro transfers try and group up and/or join an euro time zone based guild instead of being absorbed by the zerg? In my opinion we need more smaller organized groups communicating with each other instead of an even bigger voiceless zerg. The Friday reset in ET was one of the more uncoordinated messes I've seen in a long time on FA due to the general lack of communication/concern with the rest of the FA players in the map.

I think we just need to get the smaller guilds and pugs on the same page. You have to understand that a lot is conveyed in team chat, but MANY pugs don't even have that on. The best we can do is teach some of our more casual WvW players how to play a bit more effectively. It hurts to see people taking supply from a keep/tower that we are trying to upgrade. I think the education will come over time.

Some people will never be educated, and not follow an experienced commander no matter what is said in team chat or local chat. Time after time we see individuals type "SHUTUP" and then run out of a hidden position and die. :)

Mind you this is not an FA issue...this is every servers issue.

That being said, communication has been pretty good with some of the bigger guilds. Commanders messaging and coordinating with each other real time. They don't always agree, but stuff gets done. Eventually when there is some sort of alliance or multi-guild chat, it will get even more organized(something a bit more segregated from team chat, you know spies and all). ;)

Except here is the problem. We might be getting transfers but they are smaller groups abandoning "ghost town" servers and coming to a great community server. They are not necessarily doing WvW and most of the Yaks you are fighting this week are all regulars who started here Day 1. Also the previous comment that I posted wasn't called for. I was pissed off about the transfers cause again, it feels like SoR all over again, and I was pretty drunk so apologies to FA for the unsportsmanlike conduct on my part.

If you ask me 12 servers who are balanced and can put up a good fight is better then 9 servers who are balanced and can put up a good fight. We need to balance all tiers instead of T4 always being a curb stomp.

And we appreciate the apology, but lets not try to derail the thread from Fort Aspenwood recruitment.

Whew, sorry for the delay in the updates, I had a busy class schedule this week.

I was informed tonight that Fort Aspenwood received 20 guild with 100+ members in each from Euro time-zones. I can't testify to the truth of this statement, I will gather information from my sources in the game and then post an update about this later.
