Interrupting your usually scheduled WvW'ing with an odd question for the Aspenwood goers.

What do you feel are the top 5 WvW guilds for Aspenwood?  What do you feel about each one of them in terms of their members, playing style and etc?

I'm going to throw PTX in that top 5 easy! There are other very respectable guilds on our server that are very good as well. Speaking of our guild though, we wreck shit. Period. We make a habit of crushing the opposition while being outnumbered a lot of the time. Strategy, timing, and the ability to have fun is our keys to success. Hahaha!

In no particular order:

PTX - for sure. When I was a pug I would follow you guys around.
SoA - I followed these guys around once, at it was fun.
ULTD - I haven't seen a ton of these guys yet, although I did see them wrecking a tower once. I know they are just settling in though.
ECHO - They know how to entrench themselves for defense if needed.
GODS - We roll 20-40 deep every night at 9pm. Not much more to say, we get on, we take stuff, we reap XP and Karma. We are VERY organized. Derv is a tier one commander.


Others that come to mind:
HOPE - We built some Golems with them the other day, then we rolled a couple places before failing spectacularly.
BSG - I've seen these guys on here and there, I know they like to run around and take supply camps.
KGB - I know they show up in numbers here and there, I just don't see them enough to make an opinion. I know they PVE everywhere though.

I agree with you Bronxbob. All of those guilds including GODS are very good guilds. This is why our server is very good during NA primetime. If we had a few overnight guilds that were as good as our primetime guilds, we'd be in much better shape. If GODS would like to coordinate with PTX, hit me up. I've spoken to Derv a couple of times. Keep me posted.

i cant believe we got stonemist (and lost it >.>) and i saw some of you did the stack method in the dragonbrand garrison. =)

I play in a little buddy guild for WVW...SHOT...name is Sgt Rock.... Anytime I see a group of PTX, GODS or ECHO...I follow   There are others...but the top two for me to follow and help out are PTX and GODS.

Yeah some guy on Aspenwood side was saying there was a server reset, and by the time enough aspenwooders got back in Dragonbrand was already smashing through the gates at Mist.

Whether or not he exaggerated I'm happy that my belief that DB is scary at night/early morning held true, thus ensuring that people don't consider me balls stupid for saying it a few days ago...in-game chat...where nobody really pays attention anyways.

Thanks to the donation of 5 golems, including an Omega Golem by...Bijix?  Something like that. I have a horrid memory.  Great guy for tossing those out and letting us smash through Mist with them.  We wouldn't have taken the castle otherwise.  DB was strong as balls.

Been having a lot of fun this week. I have been thoroughly impressed by Fort Aspenwood this week. It's good to see us working together more and more effectively each week.

Props to dragonbrand and maguuma, been some real good fights.

Yeah, everyone in the Fort Aspenwood Alliance has been doing awesome. There are still some guilds like PTX and SoA who, for some reason or another, refuse to join in order to help out the server.

I am pleased to say that [GODS] had over 100 members attend our event on Sunday and we had over 100 people all in our raidcall at once. It was AWESOME, so I would put [GODS] somewhere on the top of that list.

You also have to remember that those are two guilds that came from very big Alliances at one point.  SoA and ULTD from TA and PTX from AA.  They might not be ready to jump into another alliance just yet but that still does not mean they are not willing to coordinate to help the server.  Instead of labeling as an Alliance maybe they prefer to label as a server.  FA as a whole should coordinate to improve itself.  On Friday, we coordinated with certain guilds to find out what land they were going too and we did help each other out.  Also shouted out so unguilded and smaller guilds knew what was happening.  Everyone on this server is important.  We don't really need an Alliance label to coordinate IMO as long as everyone on server is willing to help out.

This, if only people used that Fort Aspenwood website we might be able to coordinate some stuff.

Twas me. DB put up some good defense at the outer gate but there was no stopping us. FA did really well. Mesmers were rushing to drop portals for our Golem army and everyone was following calls, came prepared with catapults and supplies. Pretty amazing considering we were all straight up pugging it. My Omega made it to the end with 1,500/258,000hp left. We left it in the Lord Room as a memorial of epic seiging. Honestly, today was the most fun I've had in WvW in like...a month.

Just want to second what has been said.  PTX is always more than happy to coordinate with any and all guilds running around in WvW.  We have an open TS posted on our website to aid in such coordination.  We also make use of map chat to let everyone know what we are doing out there.  Trust me when I say we want to make FA the best server it can be, and realize it will take every player on the server working together to do so.

Gods is like 400+ members right?

I'm looking for a guild that has like 20-40 people online in the entire guild at a time on average, at most.  The larger it gets the less personally impacting it feels to me, and instead feels like a secondary /map.
