Have an 80 ranger, Rolling theif next, Which is the most efficent trait line x/x/x and weapon sets to solo lvl 1-80 (not doing dung), I'm not looking for the most "fun" or "ect" Looking for top of the line, fastest/sup way of lvling 1-80 as a Theif  (= thanks.

I leveled up with a crit strikes backstab build, however if I had to do it again I'd go S/P. Sword main hand lets you attack multiple targets at once, and the 5 skill on pistol AoE blind spams them all. You can kill groups quickly with practically zero effort. Dump points into deadly arts and critical strikes.

what 2nd weapon set would u use with s/p?  d/d p/p ?? ect

I've played all the builds before , I would say the most easiest to get to 80 is d/d or s/p , I used d/d with the condition dmg build ( minion's invincible build ) and swapping with p/p . My traits is 10power , 30 precision , 30 trickery . This build works well for me . If u want further details about this build then google " minions invincible build "

I'm currently level 31, and having a blast with the Death Blossom build.  That's a D/D build, with P/P as back-up.  I'm having fun DB, DB, F1, DB, dead; for equal or higher level single mobs.  WORKS AWESOME for groups too.

Although... P/D is really good 2nd set no matter what skill set you use.....

Pistol + Dancing Dagger = Infinite Kiting for Vets and Champs
Toss in Caltrops on cooldown....

Levelled to mid 20s on P/P due to lack of traits and squishiness (glass cannon).  Switched to D/D all the way to 80.  Shortbow for event tagging.

Power/Prec/Crit dmg all the way.  Ran something similar to Minion's build only I went with thievery (15) til 60 then tried his build to 80.  I found the lack of extra initiative a sleight bit painful and the healing a bit over done, but I managed.

It may be boring as hell, but I think the best (meaning easiest) way to level is with S/P.  Probably in the early levels you would lack the right Traits, but Pistol Whip aoe damage and the standard autoattack aoe is good enough for easy PvE.

The best way to level isn't tied to any build, actually. The most important part about efficient leveling is to know where you can find many Dynamic Events which repeat a lot, and then your build doesn't matter as long as you do some kind of damage (preferably AoE) since there will be tons of other people around, guaranteeing success.

"solo" and "best lvling" are kind of opposite...

You are right, but he was specifically asking for "Best Solo PvE leveling".  I just imagined that he was referring to exploring, doing Hearts and small events from time to time.
The fastest way to level on the other hand would be to buy Gold from the Gem store, so you can buy all the mats needed to rise all the crafting profession to 400.  In few hours you would be 80. :-D

I can't imagine not using SB as one of the weapon sets. Other than that, I'd say there's no "best". Lots of people run around with D/D or D/P or S/P. P/P is kind of rare. S/D definitely sucks.

Oh, sorry, I took for granted that.  I meant S/P and Shortbow.
But again, as other mentioned, there is no "Best", it's all a matter of style, taste and situation.

Best is open to opinions. Fastest is probably also just an opinion. It's more a matter of single target vs aoe mob grinding. Either way, it's how much you enjoy the weapon type and the specs you can use that would make a certain spec the best. Any spec can solo about equally fast, with just about equal levels of success honestly. I started out d/d condition damage, and you just tear though mobs like they're not even there. Gather 10 things, Death Blossom 4 times, roll for initiative, Death Blossom twice more, walk backwards until everything dies. It's hilarious but dangerous in events with aoes which will still fry your ass even with the evasion on Death Blossom.

For me personally, crafting is the fastest leveling in the game. Once you get some people to feed you materials or you trade in gems for tons of gold and buy all the materials, you can buy a crafting booster from the store and power level from 2 to 80 in a few hours without ever leaving town. It's what I do on all my alts since I don't intend to go through all the maps and events again after my main has done it all.

For all around good build I use the Wild Bill spec using P/D and Shortbow. It's more of a survival spec but the fact that you can take on anything from Champions to Bosses with it and come out near full health is quite an advantage. It does great in single or multiple fights and is just fun as hell to play in PvE or PvP. You can check out the spec here:

Since u already have a 80 my bet is crafting. Down side is you wont know how to use the character well.
