T6 fine materials investing

Most T6 materials (snow truffels, omnomom berry, ancient wood, orichalcum, gossamer, fine mats like blood, orbs) are pretty solid on at least 1s+.
Does this just scream 'investment' before a recipe gets added/discovered that actually uses these and makes the price go up towards the same 1s+ level of other T6 mats?
Or is this going to end up flatlining at vendor value and getting merched?

They price will probably go up a bit when Halloween is over.

I wouldn't just jump on investing them, you could be holding them for a very long time.

Maybe you should study the game before you start delving into speculating the market?

Anchoku's Question
Fifth, extensive farming and/or botting has created a vast surplus of some mob drops, materials, and junk items. That surplus may make crafting less expensive but it also drives players away from playing the game post-80. Low value for items = low interest in gathering unless you are a professional farmer. A reason there are vast supplies of some items in the trading post could be because the desire to consume them is very low – again, driven by peaked demand for craft results.

5) I have an update coming out for this soon

So, perhaps something rolled into the Nov 15th update to suck out some of these overstocked/botted crafting materials?

From what John Smith said it sounds like there's more to it than just banning bots. After all, he said "I have an update" not "we have an update" and he's the ANet economist not anti-bot dude or w/e. Who knows, maybe I'm reading too much into this....

Highly doubt it. It was vendor price well before the event occured. It would take a new, desirable recipe requiring these to get them out of the market.

Right. My comments were talking about the prices of T6 materials generally with regards to the OP, rather than being related to the quotes in your post. While I'm sure ANet want to make T6 materials more useful in general the fact remains that it is bots who are largely responsible for crashing the price of many of the T6 Fine materials and so their removal will lead to a decrease in the supply and thus an increase, of unknown magnitude, in their price.

Nah you're probably right, but so far they've only been doing this for massively tanked items, like butter/cinnamon sticks/ etc. The post didn't really mention t-6 tanked items, so we don't really know anything really yet.
