Hey guys, I'm going for 100% map,
So far i have..
175/175 Krytan,
174/175 Ascalon,
142/150 Maguuma,
168/172 Shiverpeak,
Is there any commonly missed areas in these regions?
Thanks!

Here's what I did when I got to the point.
I went to the wiki, looked at each map's page.
They all have a list of areas and most have a list for each area of what POIs and such are in each.
Find any areas that have nothing listed next to them and see if you have them mapped.
It's tedious, but really the fastest way to get it done.
Although, there was one page (for dredgehaunt, if I recall) that just had the areas listed alphabetically with no indication of skill points or POIs or anything. I was lucky that the area I was missing started with "D"

The wiki have all locations lsited jsut check and see what you miss to unlock, all the names in white text on ur map are explored map parts. If you cant find the name in white text on ur map you still need to unlock it.

It also helps to look at the wiki's map for each zone. That's how I found most of mine. They are screenshots of someone else's completed map.

Don't forget to check jumping puzzle.
There are a lot of places that hidden in jumping puzzle.
If you complete all of Jumping puzzle then look for other option.

Region completion is a bit different than map completion, it encompasses the map completion, but there are places you can "discover," which defogs that area of the map, without actually getting anything aside from a defogging, which helps you find things such as Asura labs or jumping puzzles and stuff.

Thanks for the tips guys, I plan to leave WvWvW grounds and dungeons until last, I'm at % at the moment.. do dungeon explo paths count towards 'regions' ?

That's the point. The wiki has the regions that don't have POIs listed as well, and makes it clear that there's nothing there that you may have been looking for. It makes looking for the region slightly easier on a completed map when you know to look for an area with no "landmarks" on it.
Anyway, best of luck. I know how much of a hassle finishing these areas off can be.

The exploration achievement tracks and the percent world completion are unrelated, but are being used interchangeably.
You can get 100% completion while only partially completing the achievements. Likewise, you can complete the achievement tracks without reaching 100%. You need to go to WvW for 100% map completion, but not for the achievements. And dungeons don't apply to either of them.
It sounds like you want to complete both. In that case I recommend focusing on completing the 100% first. This is an easily defined goal, completely laid out on the in-game map, and will get you most locations needed for the achievements in the process. After that, see what you're still missing and do what others have said and try finding them on the wiki.
