[Neo Nugget]

Hey, everybody! It's been a while since our last batch of mods have been recruited, so we're looking to fill the ranks with some fresh new meat. If you're extra passionate about Guild Wars 2 and want to help create a better forum for future generations, we want you to read the application criteria below and fill out a recruitment app. If you have any questions you want answered before you fill out the the actual application, send a PM to myself or Khalija.

• Tyrian Assembly

• Primordus Visions
  
• Vigil Academy (PvE) -- global mod for VA and profession sub-forums
  
• Durmand Priory
  
• Stonemist Castle
  
• Guild Recruitment -- global mod

When you are submitting the application make sure that you picked the correct section before applying.

Requirements

• Guild Wars 2 enthusiast
  
• Excellent writing and communication skills
  
• Active member on our forums
  
• Knowledgeable of the global forum rules and section guidelines
  
• Willing to join us on IRC while you're online to communicate with the rest of the mod team

With everything I've seen on here, it would be a ridiculous job. I used to moderate the Gentoo forums which was nice and relaxing. But the trolls run ramped here lol!

Must be genetically predisposed to automatic revulsion of any and all criticism of GW2.

Extra points for number of times you mention your passion for jumping puzzles and the 'fun' of buying chances for digital dress up items.

I would recommend having multiple moderators for the stonemist forum, that place is dangerous!

Trolls are the harmless little monkeys right now.... It's the SportsStream spammers and other jerks who found loopholes & took over entire forums like an Australian Guild takes over WvWvW at night... thems the ones ya gotta worry about until GW2 stops being a cashcow

I don't know where I am on the passion-o-meter for GW2. I don't ignore the problems the game has, so I guess I won't bother applying.

There's no hard age requirement. The most important thing is how you present yourself in your application and how well your past posting history holds up.

Post history could be the death of me, seeing as some times I like to ride out as a devil's advocate in many threads. It's nice to present some opposition.

Does a recent drop in activity since GW2 came out count as not "holding up"? I was kind of too busy playing Guild Wars 2 to post as much as I used to

Was mostly referring to posting behaviors. Activity is an important thing to look at too, but not something that can be such an easy deal-breaker. We would hope (expect) one could moderate with a fair amount of activity, but it isn't like you're signing up for a full time job here

Always fun to see new moderators being recruited. I love that you have an IRC channel! I would have applied, but I'm not an enthusiast about gw2, I just enjoy it. Better stay out of competing with the real fieryhearted people GL in recruiting new good mods, in adition to the good moderators you already have

I guess it'd be more appropriate to say, those that enjoy and actively play the game. We're not looking for extremely diehard fans or anything, but people that actually enjoy the game and keep up with game mechanics and the like.

Being able to see both sides of the coin doesn't seem to be a bad trait for a moderator, as long as you don't resort to personal attacks and trolling to get your point across

There's a popup, but that's not the actual page you fill out. Working fine for me atm.
