Game is slowly losing it's appeal for me.  I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with my class/build choices that I honestly have not been able to ever feel "comfortable" with in GW2.  I have been playing MMOs since UO and have never had trouble like this before in any game to the pt I think that even after 375hrs+ played this game may not be for me.

What I've tried thus far:

- Ele - Staff glass cannon
- Ele - Staff support/bunker
- Ele - D/D condi dmg
- Thief - D/D condi dmg
- Thief - glass cannon build
- Mesmer - random shatter blds (primarily in SPvP)

Goal is to primarily roam in WvW and hold my own in 1v[1-2].  Primarily have trouble against guardians and warriors.

I can only evocate my share bit of engineer stuff:

Carrion pistol/shield condition damage/duration based.
Berserker rifle+grenades glass canon build.

Both can roam very well Carrion one is much better for the unprepared encounters but the Berserker one packs an unbelievable punch. Your utility skills are 100% customizable as most of them provide direct effects without going through stuck-up synergies of any sort which gives a plus in comfort. Although you have to like the drugged gadgeteer/commando concept. Not given to everyone.
