With Halloween ending, and the prices of candy corn, plastic fangs, nougat centers, and chattering skulls have bottomed out in price, now might be the time to invest.  Candy corn is very cheap right now and is used in crafting of alot of desirable items that can be crafted across all crafting professions and used post Halloween, with the supply flow gone it can only go up in price.  As for fangs, nougat, and skulls, this is your safest investment, they have bottomed out in the trading post at one copper above merchant price, if you act soon your risk will only be 1 copper per unit on these items since they can not drop in price anymore.  These items are used in the crafting of many Halloween things such as superior runes, weapons, and armor.


Does this seem like a good investment?  The laws of supply and demand state that as supply lowers even with no change in demand the price should go up,in the long term at least...

You're late getting in. I already purchased thousands of ToT bags at 1c over vendor price. You can't do any better than that!

Also it's my personal opinion that the fangs, nougat, and skulls will not see returns as high as corn and ToT bags. Their vendor prices are too high to get the super low bulk prices you can get on ToT and corn right now. Also opening ToT bags gives fangs, skulls, and nougat. So there will be a stream of unwanted mats going to the TP even after Halloween is over, preventing prices from rising too much.

Not as good as purchasing 75k black lion chests for 2c and reselling them for 40c! But it is fairly safe, your profit margin cannot go any lower.

You forgot one thing: the supply is way, way overabundant right now. There are probably tens of millions of candy corns out there alone, both in the market and in players' inventory. Unless the demand to craft those halloween exotic weapons jump up suddenly, you might have to hold on to those candy corns for a couple months lol, especially when lodestones still costs 1g-1g50s each

hell yeah skins were the way to go. I bought 5 rifles at 2g ea, 5 daggers at 1.7g ea, bunch of shoulder pads at 50s ea. sold all of it a few hours ago and now have 102g. had a total of 21g yesterday before investing in anything

Well, corn just went from about 4 to rising at 6 in a few hours.  Looking good   Regretting I didn't go the skins route, but oh well.

also, recipes might go up in the future. they don't have much use tbh, but there is a limited amount and the price is relatively low. I was able to get thousands at 1c ea before the rest of the population caught on and started buying them at 3-4c ea. Regardless it's a low risk investment since its very cheap to buy

Hehe I wanted to do the same, too bad I'm pretty poor so I couldn't afford them xD So I tried my luck (no I didn't spend any real money), but I didn't get anything... Well there'll be more seasonal events anyway


And what do you think about Superiror Mad King rune recipes? 2 days ago I placed order for 31 silver, that was the highest price back then... Now it's 80-90 silver, that's insane I wonder if it'll rise even more.

I missed out on the skins. I should have bought those chain swords when they were so cheap. Was too focused on the ToT and corn markets. I won't make the same mistake two months from now.

I bought the scythe skin when it was around 15g for myself a few days ago. Then I was broke and started farming gold on Cursed Shore and missed out the skins, because I focused too much on farming. I already had ~8g, I could have invested. Now I wish, I had just payed more attention... At least we can learn from our mistakes. I won't fail again on christmas

I logged in yesterday for the 1st time in 3 weeks & opened 10 Black Lion Chests.  For them I recieved 1 x Ghastly Grinning Shield, 2 x Deathly Avian Pauldrons, 1 x Deathly Pauldrons.  Guess I must have the luck of the Irish ^^

I am waiting for the prices to go up. But so far the demand=high + supply=low(ering) formula isn't giving me high prices, and I fear that people are losing interest in the Halloween loot.

Yeah the price for Halloween items is actually dropping now that the supply is cut off, not raising. It seems the vast majority of people no longer care about getting any of the items so they are no longer bothering with buying the drops.

The price of the skins should eventually rise once that supply is cut off since there will be absolutely no way to get them anymore for all of eternity, but I think anyone who invested in the mats is going to be out of luck.

Well, not necessarily.  You really just have people panicking when they realize all the candy corn isn't going to be used up instantly.  I'm not sure why people got the impression that 2 million candy corn wasn't a long term investment.  All in all, I'm not worried at all at the investment, just annoyed that I could have waited longer to buy them up because of people chickening out :/

Yep, wish I knew the price was going lower than 4c, cause that's what I bought most of my corn at. Oh well, when it rises I'll still make my gold. I figure two weeks to clear out the suckers then it'll start a steady climb.

I'm just sitting back and watching the supply counter go up and up.

Anyone sane will just dump it, unless they are willing to investing their money until next year for very very little profit.

Yes but I'm looking at the buy orders going unfilled now.  They just keep going up.  Look at it this way.  Say corn drops 1 and has 5million supply.    It takes surprisingly little money to buy up this amount and permanenetly raise the price.  I'm just not worried about it.

See, I don't play the market - although many have successfully, it normally just doesn't work out for me.

I did on the other hand save pretty much everything I collected. I have roughly 500 Trick or Treat bags and almost 2000 Candy Corn. So I will just sit on that until there's a good bubble to sell.

Candy corn is officially a bust, I doubt it will ever go back over 5c. There just isn't enough use for it now that the event is over. The only big sink of candy corn is Sigil's of the night, and the only use for sigil's of the night is for the themed weapons. Except the themed weapons are selling for <10% of their crafting cost so there is no point in crafting them, so there is no point in making sigil's of the night so there is no point in buying candy corn.

The only way it will gain momentum is if they add a sugar rush achievement where you need to eat 100,000+ candy.

Candy Corns were worth 50c+ each at the very start of the event. I went through many areas and sold like 500 of them for 50c+. Then for a few days I sold every piece I gained between 10-50 copper each. When Candy Corns price went below 10c I started to collect them instead. Then I bought 1000 for 4 copper each, and now I have around 3k candy corn in my bank... well I shouldn't have bought the last 1k but overall I still earned much more than I lost.
