I may have acquired a rawsome shield of rawsomeness.

What I am now faced with is a dilemma, what class should I be putting that there shield on?

I've been predominatly playing as a dagger/dagger tanky necro, and a Hammer/Scepter+Focus Guardian(spirits too!).  I have an engineer(46) who uses pistol/shield but I don't know how I should be building him for maximum fun.

In GW1 I was a spirit spammer primarily, and I tend to favor playing roles that have high personal security(Snipers, tanks, backstabbing a-holes).

Whatchoo think?  I want to show off my nifty new shield but don't know on who

Guardian's a tricky one because there's always that big Particle Effect shield over the top of it.   If you're talking about that new pitch black glowing Holloween shield then that thing looks freakin SICK on a guardian b/c the particle effect looks like the blue jets of a Gas flame blending into the fire of the Shield itself.   But if it's a more Ornate shield then that particle effect could totally ruin the aesthetics.  

in which case.... RightClick ---> Preiview isn't going to help b/c we it doesn't let us play back our fighting animations.
...therefore I wouldn't rule out the Engineer yet.

Put the sheild on your necro. Definetly necro. In fact, you should dualwield sheild the necro.

... Or you could just put it on whatever class you want. If you want to show it off, then I dont see how either the guardian or engineer is a good choice since you probably want rifle for the engie and greatsword/ranged for the guard. Even the warrior will struggle to display it since you usually want ranged/horn in WvW (or the obvious GS/horn). In dungeons sheild is a given if you tank spec though.

Engis will have kits out most of the time, so if you want to show it off, don't go with engi. You should be using flamethrower btw for a condition build.

I'd use it with guardian. Shield is great for dungeons and is a good choice to go with scepter.
