Hey guys, i found a couple of new signs in Lion's Arch after the November update.
They are located on the north bank of Tenanera's Pit (Bloodcoast Ward waypoint)

By the looks of it it is a warning sign for a new boss, thanks to players Dwyll and Kyros Mazdel (Gandara server) we learned that it says: "Danger, enter at your own risk"

However the small text is hard to read, the best we have so far is "Lion's Arch Authorities cannot be held responsible"

Attached File  sign2.jpg   110.8K   336 downloads

Attached File  sign3.jpg   116.54K   157 downloads

EDIT: Dwyll says:
"for missing/stolen/damaged and/or devoured appendages"
"small children, dinghies, fruit baskets, skritt," seems to be a list of humorous things that LA are not responsible for
"seeing-eye squirrels and carp" is the last one :P

That almost looks like a Titan if it weren't for the fact that it was so cartoony ... And adorable.

not sure if this helps any more, but the book on the table in the new hut (mentioned in the reddit post) has a map with arrows:

PS. The posters in the hut were there for me, but after using a waypoint they dissapeared, and the asura portal is now off too

One of the posters only the one guy in the reddit thread could see had tentacles coming out of waves... this will probably be the reveal of the DSD.

Edit: The map in the book could be the spread of the DSD's corruption? It was said to corrupt the waters after all.

Possibly, but why does it lie around there with no one guarding it. It would be to much of an important information for just being left in a house with no one to it.

Facts from the official forums:
- 2 kinds of signs, translations have been posted
- the new building with the asura gate etc.
- a number of stranded whales (very interesting)
- 3 new ships (one sunken, one anchored)

If it means anything, there's a sylvari beside one of the beached whales who occasionally says "The ocean beckons." Haven't seen it before :o

Big matching post on dulfy: http://dulfy.net/201...nts-and-teaser/
  • Weekend long event (Nov 16) to open up the island and a new dungeon that give you better rewards and gets harder as you go deeper. Dungeon is aimed towards L80s.
  • The island is not a full zone map but a medium sized map that contains a lot of fun stuff for all levels (all players will be scaled to 80).
  • New rewards not available elsewhere can be found on the island.
And a lot of other things we have already known.

Not lore discussion: I'm not sure about the scaling in this area. Seems like lvl 80 chars could farm it until madness with no effort. Also medium sizied map doesn't sounds good.^^

If all players are being scaled to 80, it sounds like it'll be like the Mad King's Labyrinth - it's 'all levels' in the sense that everyone is sidekicked to 80 while they're there. Genuine 80s will probably still have an advantage due to better gear and more trait points, but lower-level characters can still participate.

Even if there are sub-80 areas, chances are in those areas the 80s will be sidekicked down - and while high-level characters sidekicked down are still better than characters that are genuinely of that level in most cases, it usually isn't enough of an advantage to make it easy and worthwhile farming.

One of my guildies was telling me that one of the emblems on one or two of the ships is supposedly the "Canthan" logo, but the only ones that I've seen are the two on the Dulfy post. I'm assuming the emblem with the lion's head and crossed swords are something to do with Lion's Arch or something. The other emblem reminds me of the Pact's emblem, but I know it's not (Pact on the GW2Wiki, for reference).

Someone on one of the Guru threads about this suggested that the ships are actually Asuran, but they seemed to be basing that off the model, and the model is similar to the ships you see in the Rata Sum Port Authority. But when I looked at screens of the ships in the Port Authority, they looked noticeably different. Anyone have ideas on what they could be from?

Questions? Comments? Conversation? Drop me a message!

I have decided that the creature depicted on the warning signs is neither crab nor kraken nor dragon...but UberQuaggan.  He is the Quaggan of Quaggans, and he's on his way to mete out judgement to the Quaggan haters out there.

Consider yourselves warned.
