So we've had a 'bad moments in GW2 so far' and it reading it through I got thoroughly depressed. So yeah, best moment in GW2 you've had so far!


For me it was yesterday. I said 'screw it, I'm dye gambling' bought 30 unidentified dyes, put on some Drum and Bass, and promptly opened them. What was the first dye I opened? Celestial.

headstart. So many people, so much fun leveling.  Leveling another character now is a chore.

do people know wat is the chance percentage of geting celestial? i always heard that it was rare , but i got both celestial and black , which i heard was rare too , in the 1st or early 2nd week of the game. and hearing you talk about it now makes me wonder some more.

Stumbling onto my first jumping puzzle (the pirate one in Lion's Arch ) just had me giggling like mad. I was so confused at first and then slowly worked my way through it.

Finishing the Mad Kings clock tower after 4 hours of falling off everywhere... the opening cutscene for the Mad Kings return,
Fighting the Claw of Jormag with about 50 other people was amazing!
Also all the interesting bits of NPC dialog you hear walking around towns/areas i love this game.

Mount Malstorm, the "jumping puzzle zone" where you have to collect cluster of elementals (Water, Earth, Fire and Wind) to open a chest!

That zone is simply beautifull, paired with 2 diving goggles at the end of 2 jumping puzzles it feels very very rewarding!

I would buy the game just for that zone! My money was well worth it!

- Doing the Obsidian Sanctum jumping puzzle for the first time.
- Finishing AC exp mode path 3 for the first time after a lot of failures.

Was first jp I`ve done. Just coz I`m a blondie, first time when I did it , took me like 1 hour. Now I can do it in 8-10 minutes, but when first time, oh my.

I hit level 80 in 5 days on my first character. My alt is level 50 and it's been a month.

mount malestrom for sure , i saw tequatl? before that , but mount  ms was first time i saw a true zerg , avoided them ever since , but gee was fun to see . I loved following them in the tunels killing all the mobs they were training w/o killing , damn good exp for me at the time

- Headstart was amazing due to the population density, now everyone is scattered all around the world..
- Fighting Shatterer for the first time
- Mad King's ClockTower Jumping Puzzle
- WvW during Week 1 of Release
- Being one of the first few lv80s running around in Week 1
- Obtaining Ghastly Grinning Shield!

Last night while camping the EB jumping puzzle several players from TC with speed hacks, teleport hacks, etc were heading up to the end chest. Our guild faught them between the cathedral and the chest with a termendous disadvantage and we still managed to deafeat them... over and over and over again.

Hacks make you a lazy player.

Killing Zhaitan, getting 100% map completion, killing 8 foes in WvW all by myself realizing they were all level 80 and watching the very first legendary crafted with my own eyes .

Getting 100% world completion first time is really an amazing feeling and definitely one of my best moments so far.  Also being able to take down kohler easily without being downed once is pretty amazing after incurring massive repair costs the first few encounters.

Still, the absolute best moments were all from the first couple weeks following guild wars 2's release.  There were so many people in every zone I went to and everyone just seemed to stop and help each other with pretty much everything.  Events just came and went quick because so many people participated and everyone was still in awe of world bosses.  I suppose it was just the initial excitement of a game release but nevertheless it contained so many of my 'best' moments in guild wars 2...so far.

-the amount of people in zones during headstart.  I went through all the zones to level my first character to 80 in ~3 weeks, and never once was there an event where I was the only one involved, going through all norn zones (wayfarer, snowden, lornar's, dredgehaunt, timberline) to mt. maelstrom through orr.  now in almost all of those areas I'm lucky to find 10-15 total people in the zones while leveling.

-getting the SE helmet on my engineer was a good feeling considering it took me forever to find groups for it.

-getting the magmaton hammer on my warrior out of mystic forge.

-first time I did the shatterer event, and the claw of jormag events.  just a huge epic feel to it.

Very often the magic of the music, graphics and ambience keeps me impressed and interested, but nothing beats the feeling at headstart.

Unboxing the Greatsaw on my first try with a key I got from the PS and selling it for 75 gold.

Finding the secret laboratory in Caledon Forest (my first jumping puzzle, rawr! so cool looking) and falling to my death several thousand times because I suck at jumping and turning direction as fast as you have to, finally, FINALLY managing to get all the way across and kicking the boss' tail in 10 seconds flat because I'm just that awesome with a bow. Stellar feeling to complete it!

Headstart was completely awesome, first week too.
First time at The Shatterer, after years of watching that damned YouTube video I was there fighting him for real.
Mount Maelstrom where I found my best friend from GW1 and we keep on playing together since that day.
Some epic battles at WvW.
Finally equiping on my mesmer Fiery and icy Dragons Swords wanted to do that since I heard the Icy was coming back.

Yes I remember the anticipation building during the time between BWE3 and headstart. Just thinking about what toons to create, theorycrafting, thinking about names etc. Finally being able to play the game for real was a great thing. Whether this game will be able to sustain interest in the coming years remains to be seen, especially if we believe it will take the same amount of time before we see GW3, but I'm looking forward to experiencing that all over again when it does occur.

When i reunited with a TON (like probably around 30) friends from gw1, most of who i hadnt talked to in AT LEAST 2 years. Man that was amazing.

So far I still think it happened while mapping in LA.  One of the vistas is way out on this rock outcropping in the middle of the bay.  I was thinking, "there is just no way to jump to that".  I ran and swam around the area for a while before I noticed the Asuran NPC who asks you to "test" his invention.  I won't spoil what happens next but it made me laugh so hard I did it three times.

when stumbled into a cave with another guy.. he jumped down this hole- I looked down and said wth and jumped after him.. we fell about lions arch plank height and ended up in a quaggan city underwater.. it's right by the pirate ship in non-moa lake

it's then I realized how much cool stuff they actually put into this game to find.. and how many luffugus won't see any of it! xd
