Hello, today I crafted the legendary torch Rodgort. After staying up for 35 hours straight, and working on it semi-hardcore for the past 2 months, I have finally achieved my goal. Let me say it was worth it. This was crafted on the 3rd of November 2012 at 8:24am EST, or 5:24am Server Time.

Animations: fiery footsteps, arm on fire, dragon moves and is on fire. It also breathes fire more when the mouth is open.

this is much much better than I expected.  Might actually work towards this one, which is the first I can say for almost every other legendary in the game (the only other one I liked even slightly was the predator).

How did you get your hands on your precursor?  Just wondering it is one of the cheaper ones on the TP though I expect that to change after this video.

I bought my precursor for 9g, 2 weeks after headstart. Now they are all sold out on the trading post, and will probably go up in price dramatically.

I think someone is playing the market. There were two for sale at 60g, I bet someone bought both then  listed the one at 100g. If it sells, he will list his second one slightly higher. Also, there's a buy order for 60g, he may well have placed that himself. People who play the market do these things, they artificially raise the price on these items and the 'hype' train behind them usually makes them net a profit.

Yea its obvious that its what happened.  Can't say I blame them precursor prices are basically based on popularity.  The torch is an example it was 60g now 1 listed at 100 but its till up there may need more time for the news to spread.  A 40g jump isnt to bad considering how good the weapon looks.  I doubt it will go much higher as torch isnt super popular on any class as far as I know.  Maybe at most 120 which is still below alot of exotics like mist weapons and other named unique ones.  I wouldnt say its artifically raising the price it was valued to low because no info was out on it.  100g is not steep at all for a legendary that looks that good up there with the gs,bolt,

That was 2 weeks after headstart when 9g was a fortune for people that didn't play the market. At the time of crafting this I had a debt of around 90g to three different people, so I could not invest 105g ish for all 3 precursors that were on the market at the time.

That debt has already been lowered by 14 gold, so not bad I guess. Was just taking loans to finish it faster.

The second crafted gift was on the forums, I asked and a dev answered it was Vial of Liquid Flame. So that, Gift of Wood, Superior Sigil of Fire and 100 Icy Runestones.
