Should legendaries be account wide ?

Simple topic to take your opinion folks.

Legendary is a painfull grind, some find it worth it, some don't. When you finally achieve your legendary, wouldn't it be great to be able to put it on all the characters of your account instead of just one ?
Like the HoM vendor or the Hat maker in GW1 : as soon as you complete a legendary you can give it to him and create other ones for your other toons.

Definitely. If I reroll down the road and have to do my legendary all over again, I might as well rather tickle my eyeballs with a hot iron for increased entertainment value.

That's one of my favourite things about D3 - I constantly re-roll characters since I prefer the ride from 1-60 over farming, so I simply put their gear into the storage and it waits there for my next guy.
It's like the only things that gear in GW2 has going for it are the cap and T-Stones. Everything else, other games do better.

Yes legendaries should be account-bound.

IMO i think they should put in a system like the Legacy system in SWTOR.

legendaries should be removed and reworked to not be so horrible looking, then we can talk about making them account bound.

They could make legendaries give you god mode and I still wouldn't waste my time on how terrible the skins are.

Yes, imho all weapons and armor should be accountbound, instead of soulbound, including, but not limited to legendaries.

Yes. I think that if a lot of the materials required are account bound, then the weapon should be account bound. I don't think any other weapons or armor should be though. Just legendaries.

Yeah, you can transmute the skin already, so why not make it accountbound?
For legendaries the problem is, that you will loose the legendary status, if you transmute. This would restrain me from doing so, beacuse legendaries are just for prestige, thus the purple font saying "legendary" is something important.

I would certainly be more motivated to start on the legendary grind if there were in fact account bound.

I prefer them soulbound, they are difficult and rare enough to make your character memorable.

If they were account bound you can run into half a dozen different characters wielding the essentially same one in a day, cheapens the impression imo. They take long enough to make that anyone completing it has plenty of time to be sure they enjoy the class they finish it on, plus you can transmute it away if you really want (although I dont like that you lose the legendary status at all, would not transmute mine).

With the ridiculous grind required to get a Legendary, it becoming soulbound is what is stopping me from even considering trying for one someday.
What if I get bored with playing with my Necro, or it gets nerfed to oblivion and unplayable for months?
Then I shouldn't see the weapon I poured my energy into getting, until I want to play that character again?

Making them account bound would be a great step!

I would be more reluctant to have them account-bound if there was a rather intricate story line involved in getting them, weaving a bond between your character and the object of your desire - even as a non-RPer - but as it consists of pure farming, you might as well make it account-bound.

It's a PLAYER achievement, not a character achievement - so I'd see no reason for it not to be cross-character available.

Yeah, this is why I started the topic in teh first place.
Do you think making a post on the official forum might make Anet to consider things ? Or is it just a pure waste of time ?

I'm all for this, and get some people talking about this on the official forum.
They'll consider it, or give a specific reason why they shouldn't be account-wide.

I agree. I mean, you may have some of the components or materials crafted by your other characters (may even be a low level one), in a way it's those characters' achievement too, why not letting them use it too if they can?
