In what I feel to be a matter of personal opinion, I am having difficulty choosing which class I would like to craft sunrise and or twilight for.  I love all aspects of this game, so I want a class that the greatsword is at minimum viable for wvw and spvp.  That being said I am leaning towards guardian and Mesmer as first place because of their animations as well as utility with the gs in wvw as well as spvp.  In third place the warrior also intrigues me.


Could you please state your personal opinion on the matter?  Which would you pick and why, if you want to be as detailed as gender and race that's great too.  Does the Idea of 4 twilights/sunrises on your screen excite you?  Or would you pick purely on gameplay and abilities?  Thank you

Good advice, except for the fact that I love playing the guardian AND the Mesmer.  And for the short time I played warrior , I had a lot of fun there too.  I am 100% sure I will enjoy any one of these three classes, and that's why I'm asking people how they would choose personally.

If you had to choose just one gerroh, which would it be?

I never understand these kind of posts as to what they are looking for.  

I play a mesmer I have twilight everyone says it looks better than they thought it would on a mesmer.  I decided to craft it when I saw the Sunrise on a Mesmer video and saw the animations.

So my suggestion is youtube search" "Legendary weapon {insert weapon name here}"  tags can be twilight or sunrise to help refine the search.  

If you know how the class plays it still plays the same way with the weapon your just more flashy.

One point; you won't be able to use said legendary in spvp, if it'd make any difference to your options.

Also, go by what profession you prefer the weapon skills on as well.

For example: I just don't like GS on warrior, so wouldn't get it for him. Guardian will use GS quite a lot and Mesmer, I'm just not sure about yet.

Then for me, the Warrior has best looks, then Guardian then Mesmer (Legendary wielded by them I mean).

So I guess I'd get a legendary on my Guardian, assuming I played it enough at level 80. Probably being Sunrise to fit in more with the Guardian style, unless Twilight fitted with the armour I get more etc. If not then I'd get another legendary on my warrior

I'd choose a class you enjoy, with decent skill effects that'll show off your GS I suppose.

Mesmers don't swing their greatsword very much (except for skills 2, 4 and 5, all of which have CDs, unlike a warrior/guardian's autoattack) so you get to see less of that streaky effect I guess, if that matters to you.

Guardian GS is outshined by the hammer big time.  If you're a min maxer, the guardian hammer is better than the GS in every single way (dmg, utility, control).

Mesmer GS has the best kit IMO... but has the worst animations.  Remember though that each of your clones will have the legendary GS too... which is pretty epic.

Also... I'd wait for the mid November balance patch.  Rangers are supposed to get a huge buff.  Their GS might be on that buff list.

For Sunrise I see that macthing the Guardian very well, cant say much on the Mesmer, since I dont play one, as for the Warrior, I have a Human one, so If I decide to craft it on him, He'll be wearing the Human T3 cultral armor dye Anicent Bronze. and if I decide on craft it on the Guardian, I like the Norn, with its T3 armor. the Male looks cool, while the Female looks hot.Cestial Dye will work great on the colth part of the armor.

For Twilight, it macthes any darker dye character. Warrior more than Guardians, to me, Guardians are better with light dye armor and weapons to mactch. there skills are all light blue animations, so giving them a Dark Sword with  skull Gargoles on the Halt doesnt macth them.

this is all just my opinon on those 2 GS, you can craft both those GS together and give it to a ranger and it will fit if you see it that way.

but the illusions and phantasms will wield the weapon too, iBerserker with lengendary GS is pretty cool.

I'm afraid you're mistaken, sir. Your Illusions carry your Legendary GS of choice, but the Phantasmal Berzerker still uses it's old weapon.

Which Profession suits best for Sunrise / Twilight, tho.. I think that's entirely up to personal taste. Warrior and Guardian will get to enjoy more of the trail the weapon leaves behind, however, they will haver have 4 legendary GS at the same time.
Something you'll have to consider is that as a Mesmer you won't "rub" that shiny sword into your enemies faces that often.

I would never play a profession based on a Legendary. Thats complete opposite. You play a profession you enjoy and see yourself playing down the road, then decided to take the additional step to go forward with a Legendary.

If only phantasm's weapon changes according to character's weapon~ and GS #1 laser changes color according to legendary weapons

I thought about going for Twilight on my ranger since I mainly use the GS in pve, but then I don't want to look like everyone else that has  a legendary.

I'd suggest looking up youtube videos of both professions using Sunrise/Twilight and see which one you like best.
