Am just wondering, among the people who plays, what is their financial situation in the game. How much gold did you end up when you got your level 80?
I'm currently level 41 and I have 4,5 gold. I have no idea if it's good or bad, so I'm looking to see how other players managed.

To keep this thread more deep, entertained, and interesting, one can add his experience on items he received that buffed his money, or items he has bought that made him...on minus in the bank.

Right now, I have about 1 gold. Tomorrow, probably 1  gold as well.

I invested some gold in leveling four alts to level 80 via crafting and I have all five of my characters do Orichalcum runs quick and easy money. I make about 4-5 gold a day, but I spend it as fast as I get it since I like to buy skins for each of my characters lol.

I have about 15g, I'm a tightwad, I don't like to spend when I don't have to.

Bought a short bow a couple of days ago, and I don't even like it, it's no better than my old one, or so it seems, and looks like a piece of cardboard.

Weapons really are rubbish looking in this game.

I ended up with about 11-12 gold.  I dont play the market, dont find that fun.  I dont like to farm, to me its just boring.  So when I do play my 80, since I am 100%, I hope I get a few good things to seel so I can make a little money, but since I dont really purchase much, I guess money isnt really needed.  I have no plans on spending 100s of gold to get my legendary or spend 100gold to get the commanders title as to me it really isnt worth it.

I had a single gold when I hit 80. Currently have 5 gold. I've spent a good bit on cultural armors. I should probably farm some more, but meh. Can't be bothered.

Spent a few thousand Gems that I bought with gold on account upgrades so can't really complain, though I don't have much gold left.

I would be interested in seeing Anet publish another wealth distribution graphic, they were so proud of the small wealth gap in the BWEs, wonder how happy they are with it now?

I had a couple of gold when i hit 80.. im not very good at saving it since im constantly gearing up my ranger.

I had couple gold as I hit 80. I didn't buy any gear as I leveled, but I didn't sell any of my crafting mats. At some point at lvl 80, I decided to sell the crafting mats and got 9g. Now I make like 2g in 1h30min farming penitent/shelter. I get bored of the farming quickly, so I usually make the 2g and stop.

When I hit 80 I had 7-8g.
Over 370 hours of playing, I've gotten about 70-80g, without farming (since I hate farming...)
I've wasted most of it, on weapons and armour which I buy for their aesthetics, and then promptly bin afterwards since I don't like it
So now I have 5g xD

I spent my life savings so far (about 17g) on gems for BL keys and opened almost all the chests I'd found so far at halloween.  I made about 100g selling stuff to highest buyer and even kept a scythe staff skin.    Now I have about 6g since I bought most of a t3 cultural set the other day..

When I reached lvl 80 I had enough to craft me a Berserker Emblazoned set(don`t know about the total, but gossamer scraps were 5s each, ectos and powerful bloody 20s each, was left with few gold.) Spend tons of money after that for an exotic wep, berserker exotic trinkets and Scholar runes(1g back then ).

Currently "stuck" at around 20g with a Mad Moon shield in the bank(spent 17g, hopefully the price will rise). Don`t really need more, legendaries are months away, T3 Charr Medium looks worse(in my opinion) than the T2 I currently have. Haven`t yet started leveling an alt properly.

Would have had much more if I invested in the halloween skins, especially in the swords which rose from 4g to a bit less than 20g over one night. Will be ready for Wintersday, but I guess other will aswell.

Anyway, 4,5g at lvl 41 is very good.

Making 5-7g a day (not bragging, I play 3 hours a day on average), so I have enough.

I currently play the TP a lot, and I've had moments where I tripled my total cash.

But yeah 4.5g at level 41 is certainly a lot, I remember having like 20-30s at level 41 lol.

Around halloween I was checking out my storage and I came across some stuck I had kept thinking they were useless, then checked on TP, it was worth money. Start selling them, now I have 100g+. 90g+ purely from the items I had bought during early days of release. Rag to riches in a riches in a week or so.

A few gold at the moment, and have 2 level 80's. But have been spending it on gear... stats and looks. Got two tier 3 cultural pieces that cost 20g ea. But yeah, I never carry a lot of gold on me, I just keep spending it on upgrades and looks. When one character is done I'll start on the next and be broke again. Maybe after I get all my characters up to level 80 with the gear I want from them I'll start saving up for a Legendary or something silly.

Yesterday I had 2 level 80 characters, one at 56, one at 40, and some mules at level 2, and ~35 gold.

Then I finished craft-leveling my 40 to 80, crafted her exotic armor and jewels, bought some exotic weapons, and am now down to ~7g.

This is why I can't have nice things.

i've got 3-4g altogether right now. I didn't do much for a while and recently got caught up in events and the personal story around orr, so making a lot of wonga each day. I also spent ~3g on a character slot back when it was more like 30s for 100 gems or something.

I have around 20g atm... Probably spent around 50g throughout my time playing... 13g maxing all professions, 6g for cultural armor, 10g for jewelery sets, 10g on gems, ~10g on weapons and skins.

Money is pretty easy to get, especially since I run dungeons a lot and play with the tp every so often.

Also: I don't think a wealth distribution graph would be quite as accurate as in the beta unless it counts what people have spent as well. Some people who have just bought full T3 armor or commander might show as having little money when they have a lot of money worth of items

I have about 9g and this is with repairs from dungeons/WvW, constantly buying salvage kits and buying mats off of the AH.

Dungeons and WvW are the best ways by far to make money without grinding.

There would be a big difference in the two extremes, 'rich' and 'poor' in the game, as to be expected. There's plenty of things to sink gold into...or perhaps just a few things that are priced sky-high, so the bank balance doesn't always tell the full story. What about in-game 'friends'? Does that make people 'rich'? Perhaps not, but it makes for a more rich gaming experience, IMO.

Enjoy yourself. That is key.

15-20ish gold when I lvld to 80 mostly in Wv

I also always bought an upgrade to my armor/weapons/trinkets every 5 lvls or so (rare armor)

About 30g atm, and some 50 sitting on items i didn't yet bother to put up. But yeah, couple of armor sets for my characters, all the skins and random things on the side must have wasted near 150g from me already. I don't mind tho, in fact I'm glad i did so instead of running around in rags and chasing that carrot of a legendary. Things will come in time, having fun is more important.

I've got a level 40 ranger I've got just about 2 gold currently. I spend more than I should on the way points as I play maybe 1 to 2 hours at most per day.

Level 80 I had about 8 or 9 gold.

Once you start doing level 80 things you can make that much money a day just by basic farming.

I had 5g when I hit level 80, only that I decided to play the market with a quick flip (usually doesnt work out for me but I thought, maybe this time) and lost about 2g then I spent the rest of it on nothing because I felt like it was the end of the world.) Then I made about 3g last week and thats where I stand.

Most at one time: 320g I think it was
Total: 500g? somewhere in that range.

I almost never save gold. It just feels useless. So I spend it on cosmetic garbage, like mini-pets, mostly. Occasionally I'll buy materials for a friend to craft me exotic jewelry. So, yeah, I've never gone past 3 gold. Might eventually save up when I'm not motivated for collectibles/cosmetic garbage.

i honestly dont know waht my plans are for this game.  since there is no raiding and dungeons appear rather casual, i dont really see the need to get decked out in full exotics in a hurry.  so i may level to 80, i may take a breaka and start leveling another character, as this and swtor are the only mmorpgs that made me actually want to start another character, and hopefully, cummulatively, i may have enough for the tier 3 human cultural heavy armor.

In TOR I was quite rich as I was one of the few who got the magenta recipe from the World Bosses. Actually could sell and make enough money to get my other shit like stuff for my Companions.

Here, I'm still throwing money into the forge to get a GS or Hammer precursor. I've been at 1G forever.
