When we get dungeon armor and salvage it, we can get ectos from them but the runes inside are soulbound and can't be traded or even given to an alt.  They can't go into the forge.  What can you do with them?  Seems like they should have some kind of sink to drain out of the game besides vendoring.

Is there anything else we can do with them?

destroy them.

but really, I'm pretty sure your only option is to merch it.
