Endgame is lame. Seriously, did they get too busy with the launch? They had all great spices for end game like flame legion story. In the end we got zombie zerg. Millions of trillions of zombies.... Tyria allied in personal story so maybe "bad guys" could have allied too and endgame would have been war of  2 alliances. Hopefully they drop zombies in future, its been played and done.

Ah yes, lets take ALL the stories and end them in the FIRST release of the game. I am sure the game will be alive for a long time if every single thing in the story is solved right at start.....

Personal story is a bit too personal because you can't group with people easily.

It is a bit too un-personal as far as the story. (everything is so generic)

Most annoying:  Lack of personal story continuity.

Do this important thing! Now do this other important..oh, wait, go gain a couple of levels first.  Ok, now do this third important...never mind. Gain some more levels.

It makes it feel very disjointed.

In regards to "Everyone, come!", it also annoys me that the lines like that that are spoken by enemies never seem to do anything.  For example, you might be able to pull one bandit out of a group, and they'll yell "Over here!" or something, and the rest of the bandits just stand around all "whatever"

Of course, it would be more annoying if they could pull all kinds of enemies to you, but it's really noticeable how disjointed the dialogue and actions are.

I started the Order of Whispers and Tybalt's voice actor sounds like he has a LOT of saliva to spare. It sounds more like I'm talking to a giant dog than a giant cat.

Worst part is, I find myself liking Tybalt! But if he talks, I'm muting the game. It sounds like a troll walking through a wet swamp.

The story. For me, it tries to be too much: A lot of us like being the 'grunts', the little guys, the nameless rank and file solider, and so many games these days are putting you as the center of attention. Plus it's an MMO: Defending Lion's Arch from a zombie horde was great fun, I'll admit, but having it instanced and seeing everything be 'A-OKAY' when I get back to the plaza shatters any suspension of disbelief I had been holding onto.

This doesn't damn the game for me, of course, I ain't no hater, the worst is that I just skip most of the dialog because I'm not concerned with the story, and then I'll fill in the blanks myself. It also has some wicked history and lore, so I'll be able to get a huge kick out of all that instead.

I have a few complaints about pve but my most "random" one would be not enough town clothes, and being forced back in armor whenever we take damage or go underwater.

#23: Not being able to use any skills while swimming on the surface.  I like the view on the surface, but I have to dive under to use any kind of swiftness skill or anything I might need to escape an enemy that's locked on.

Are Charrs meant to be cats? I thought they were cow people, I guess that explains why you can get tiger stripes.

Oh yeah Life,... personal story. very inflexible indeed, no choice in titles, etc, either.

For example my character is the reincarnation of (or possessed by, I dunno) the monk who deposed Abbadon and killed Mallyx, and has Ghostly Hero title, and is already wearing Arah EXP armor. ...and Probably the mother of all personal Continuity-breakers: my Evil "self" from another dimension?...yeah he's the source of those Steam Minotaurs because he conquered that world and then I defeat him right before this story kicks in.  Yet these Priory tards who were founded by a lesser monk whom wasn't even fit to be my apprentice, all address me as "novice"   ....didn't they learn ANYTHING from Shing Jea Sherman?

- Dynamic events need to feel more "dynamic" and exciting,=they werent suppose to be like this IMO, ANET stated they didnt want it to be like quest "go here/kill this etc.", but that's exactly what it is: Quest ranamed.

also, i hated when first starting a character, and event that require level 6-10(before traits), have that stupidly OP boss that can 1 shot ya, and they "hold" agro on you, so 2 evades, then your 1 shoted. NOT a nice introduction for new players still learning mechanics so once they get hit without evading, there 1 shoted, 1 shot capability's are not a "challenge", there just like "rage" or "rage quit, uninstall"

give me truly harder bosses that take real skill and team tactics, not higher health pools=sadly theres only been 1 boss i liked(besides madking) and that was in TA storymode, 1 of the bosses(3rd or 4th) the team tactic=pull the exploding trash to the left side of the cave/alcove have them explode the poison that side, but evade as they explode(effortless timing though) and range smash the boss.

sadly, when i did CM storymode on my mes, all the bosses were to easy, heard it got a "buff" in storymode, did it the other day on my asuran, we had 2 lvl 80's, a lvl67, a lvl46 and me lvl40(now lvl 41), the 1st robot boss spawned, smashed every1 quick i hid behind the fountain, healed, kept running out, using confusion/poison/bleed/burn and evading back to my hiding spot...when i got hit, the damage was heaps, but he had high health+armor so it was a grindey battle because every 1 else was getting trashed in less then 15 seconds, the 2nd dungeon of the entire game, shouldn't have a boss with that damage capability being AoE(theres a recharge between heals, unless your an engineer who has crap self heals IMO)=thank god for elixers right?

They would have done well to have started with a more interesting story, instead of the very lame, very tired, very ugly and very generically implemented zombie invasion.

Lack of weapon dye option
Lack of back items/capes/quivers etc - WHERE MAH RANGER QUIVERS ANET?! :3

OMG HUGE one I just forgot: the fact that Anet calls a black jaguar (i.e. a melanistic big cat) just "Jaguar" .... do some zoology research -.-'' ...seriously...

You must have missed about 95% of the story if that was all you got from it.

I didn't miss it; I straight up skipped it.

And from an environmental perspective, it doesn't come across well at all, except in establishing that Orr is covered in Risen.

Terrible choice for endgame story. Worse even because it's poorly implemented. Onager Bivouac alone is more engaging than all three Orr zones combined. Where the kitten did those weapons go? I may never know (though I'm sure it's related to a local DE started somewhere outside the cave).

So, you whine about a story you have not even done/read/experienced?

Of course it looks weird/bad/silly if you don't even bother paying attention.

How good would LotR be if you totally ignored the whole story and only saw the siege of Minas Tirith?
