I have noticed a sudden increase in T6 materials for the last two days.

For example, Pile of crystalline dust (http://www.guildwars....com/item/24277) and Vial of powerful blood (http://www.guildwars....com/item/24295) have rose by >100% for the last two days. Anyone know what happened?

Also, as I would be creating my legendary I would be needing these mats. Do you expect them to further rise in prices later on, or would you expect the price to stabilize later on?

If you look at the curves, you'll see :

Fine materials (T6) prices increasing and supply decreasing.

It may be explained with a change of drop rates ?

However, materials like orichalcum, omnom or T6 wood supply has increased and prices have decreased in the past few days.

Perhaps people have changed their routine and they prefer to go through maps gathering materials than no-brain farming to make money ?

It has happened to a bunch of materials recently. If anything, I'd put it down to John Smiths post a while back about doing something with overstocked/botted stuff. Anything that bottomed out in price could potentially be affected. Crystalline dust is just being fcked with in general (ppl saying there is an exploit with it, pushing price up, making reddit posts. Standard tactics).

Look at where the supply dropped from ~2000 or 140ish.  Seems like someone with new gold from Halloween events (probably through good investments like rune surplus from Mad King, Mystic Coins and ecto, or quick resales of halloween skins) is trying to manipulate the market.

Obviously though, it's not that easy to simply fix the price.  Notice how it dropped back to normal almost instantly?  Demand must always match the price.  You can't just buy out everything and expect that price to stick.

Reports of bots being gone are starting to crop up.  I suspect there was a pretty large bot ban with that patch the other day.

I have noticed a ton of less bots on my servers. In fact, I have yet to see one today.

I believe we are seeing what happens when bots are banned. Many commodities, from T6 mats to even Piles of Putrid essence are now spiking in price.

Supply numbers continue to decline (supply from bots is removed) while buy orders are increasing from those who want to profit off.

The price of orichalcum will continue to drop as Node Maps exist on line for all servers .It would take 2 hours to farm ori in Undergound  Server 10 days ago and now it takes 30 min max .As far as  T6 mats the huge spike in prices happened literally overnight so that could suggest either someone is trying to control or the massive ban on bots resulted in huge amount of mats being removed from Black Lion .

Damn, I wonder how many bot accounts got banned. I'm seeing items rise to prices they haven't been at in a month+

On cursed shore on Yaks' Bend, I have not seen any obvious bots at all. So I guess they really brought the ban hammer.

I'm on Yak's Bend as well, and I too have noticed a major major reduction in bots in Cursed Shore. Particularly we had a huge group of bots at both Shelter's Gate and Penitent Camp, both gone in the last few days.

Sorry, but the economy was better with the bots. With T5 mats over 50c each and powerful bloods at 14s it's becoming rather expensive to craft anything. The price of precursors and other high end weapons is up as well.

What would you prefer? An economy where 99% of everything is worthless and better sold at a merchant than the open market?

I would rather things cost more to make it easier to make gold and crafting will actually become worth while and maybe even create a decent global market, right now the economy is just broken with most things being worthless especially with the stupid sales taxes.

I bought a stack powerful venom sacs and a stack of crystalline dust a few weeks ago. I can resell them with a lot of profit now but i also just noticed that i need them for my legendary eventually.. what to do? will they drop in price again some day and should i just sell them now? Or will they only keep rising? O.O

This is not market speculation, it's way to hard to keep that up for days straight, let alone on more then a dozen items at the same time.

I think the main reason why all these T6 materials (and T5 materials for that mather) are going up, is because bots are getting banned I think. I'm not sure but it could be one of the reasons.

Wow. I used to update T6 mat prices every day in my Legendary excel tracker, but I finally stopped checking the prices because they were only ever going down and I wanted to save my gold to buy a precursor, anyway.

After reading this I've updated my spreadsheet and my remaining cost in T6 mats has risen over 100 gold. The economic aspect of this game just feels like a non-stop slap in the face. Every time I hit a milestone in my legendary progress something soars in price. *ing sigh.
