I am seeing a lot of Phantom Candy Corn Nodes.  One second they appear out of nowhere.  The next they are gone.  

Did I play too much during the Halloween event and starting to have flash backs?  

Did ANet plant these in the game as subliminal messages making us yearn for the next event?  

Does anyone else see these? (Please don't let me be the only one)

OOPS. I meant Candy Corn.  I guess the subliminal messages ARE working on me!!

Yep, I see them too.  They pop up for second or two and disappear.

I'm getting this glitch too, especially in Frostgorge Sound.

They show up as mining nodes on the mini-map, and I can see the candy corn from a distance, but when I get close it disappears.

It really complicates the process of looking for nodes to gather.

I've actually gotten stuck on them ocassionally, as in, I'm walking along and suddenly one appears right at my location and I stop moving for a split second, and then it is gone!

Besides the phantom candy corn hangover, there are still a few carved pumpkins in a couple of zones that have not been removed.


No sighting of haunted doors though.


Wonder if the candy corn is gonna get stale or mysteriously turn into holiday sugar plums or chocolate kisses for Valentine's.


Of course, you do realize, it's all part of the Mad King's plan to stay around and drive us crazy.  


This would all clear up if they'd just bring back the Lion Statue. <straightface>

I'm guessing they keep all the holiday stuff in the game but just phase it out (or, well...try to) when it's not active?

Ye have this to i stumble on candy corn nodes while doing my 3 map farming rotine, if you notice the minimap you will also see mining nodes (candy corn) pop up on the minimap and desapearing a few seconds later.

Of the 3 maps i pass by normally , Malcheor's LEap seems to be the worst, i see candy nodes everywhere O.o, they spawn on top of other existing nodes, sometimes im chooping down a tree and a candy node pops up around the tree lol

The latest patch just released today is supposed to help with that.

Yes they fixed another minor issue while still not even commiting on the game breaking Arah bug.  Yes I am so pleased.

This could only mean one thing. you play too much! or Mad King is still trying to get out.

I saw a candy corn node once, but it disappeared in a blink of an eye.

I guess it's only fitting in spirit of Halloween to have ghost nodes spawning afterwards. Perhaps they'll make triumphant return the next year?

I think it would have been amazing if this had been intentional.  It's not like everyone takes down their holiday decorations all at the same time.  There are always those sagging jack-o-lanterns you see here and there that people are too lazy to dispose of.  It would make the world of Tyria seem that much more real if the decorations were slowly phased in and out rather than them all being patched in and out en masse.

Or.. you know.. just the same materials required to craft the same items, and using them for other halloween events.

Heh, I agree, that's a good thought. It always does seem kinda abrupt when they all disappear at once.  Glad we aren't seeing any smashed pumpkins though.

Maybe there will be some strings of holiday lights that linger into summer. <grin>
