So I know of the gw2armor.com site, which is great and very helpful.
I know there's a lot of gw2 skills sites where u can set up ur traits, runes, sigils and jewelry...however these r all for pvp.

What I'd like to know is if anyone knows a site where I can actually put on and preview all the armors (even weapons) to c how I'd look before I actually buy them? But this is actually my secondary question seeing as u can try on the dungeons armors to preview them at LA.

What I'd rly like to know is if there's a site that allows us to actually put on different armors with different stats, choose our own runes and even different jewelry so I can c what all the stats will add up to and figure out what kind of an impact a certain change will have on my build.

This is of course strictly pve talk seeing as armors dont change much other than just looks in pvp.
And I was very unsure of whether to post this on the pve section or here...ended up posting here by flipping a coin soo..just plz help me out :D

Go to the mists and use the PvP locker. You can preview all the armors and weapons on your own character from there.

As for the stats, I've not encountered one.

ya previewing armors is not the biggest issue, it's just I'd rly love to find a site that basically calculates the stats we get from certain armors compared to another, along with different runes/jewelry.

I've been looking for the same thing. A couple of the build calculators have limited options for this, but they all assume level 80 exotic gear and offer choices only among superior sigils and runes, with no choice of insignia at all. We really could use a universal "gear calculator" that covers all levels, insignia, inscriptions, jewelry, and all possible upgrades for slots (runes, sigils, crests, gemstones, jewels, etc.).

It would be a monstrous nightmare of an undertaking, but I hope somebody is working on such a thing. There are just so many options out there that it makes me dizzy trying to organize my choices for just one alt, much less several.

I don't see the issue. You can preview armor and weapons [and not just the ones from dungeons, but any armor/weapon] and the stat changes are simple math.
Like the way it looks?  Take your current score, subtract the current item's bonus, add the new item's bonus.

Proper/Full character builders (like http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character) are very useful but currently none exist for GW2, at least as far as I'm aware.  They are quite an undertaking to build but if you already have a full and accurate item DB mined then it becomes a lot simpler than if you don't.  Unfortunately the best build calculators don't also have good pve databases and the sites with good databases generally have poor builders.  Hopefully somebody will make one soon, but for now... we're stuck with using PVP jewels to approximate things.

I found a google spreadsheet off reddit: https://docs.google....OEE&pli=1#gid=0
It's only a spreadsheet though and clunky, frankly if I knew how to code I'd spend the time to make one because it doesn't seem that difficult.

It isn't difficult in terms of doing the calculations, but it can be very tedious and time consuming to put it together. As Aetou pointed out above, the underlying database is the key. You need to have info on every insignia, inscription, rune, mark, gemstone, jewel, weapon-type, armor-type, accessory, etc. in the game to make it work fully. A user must be able to choose, say, "level 65 staff with Berserker inscription and Major Sigil of Bloodlust" and get the right stats added to his profile.

That does beg the question if a resonable amount of people would use it that way if it were there. Most of the min-maxing takes part at 80 anyway, and since exotics are so relatively easy to come by, I don't really see the incentive to make a whole new program specifically to calculate for any lesser setups.

But not insignia, and only exotic-level sigils, runes, and jewels. Nor do you have the choice of alternate upgrades such as gemstones or crests. Upgrading armor with gemstones instead of runes, for example, is a viable choice.

I can see your point, but it would be nice to have a site that at least included level 80 rares. I don't find exotics so easy to come by, since I do not yet have the mats to craft my own or the means to buy exotic gear, and I expect I will be wearing my rares for quite some time before I can do either. Perhaps few people would put a lot of calculation into gear that will be superceded in five levels, but being able to plan something other than exotics at level 80 would have a constituency, I would think.
