The leaderboard is UP ! Hope to see it online in game...

https://forum-en.gui...alifying-Points

You can see that the first NA team have 80 points (PZ) and the second got only 30-35 points... So PZ is dominating the ladder on NA server. Then, the other teams doesn't have so much qualification points... Then, there are only 6-7 teams with more than 10 qualifications points...

On the Europe server, we can see that Eclypsia Super Squad is dominating the server with 60 points, then Paradigm EU is not so far behind Super Squad, and after them there are few teams like Onibawan, eStars, Mace Stun who got around 20-30 points. The last team ranked got something like 4-5 points, instead of NA server who got only 1 point.

So i think there is more competition on the European server.

It seems that there are not so many teams who are playing ranked. Hope to see more competition soon.

With this leaderboard, it is now pretty black and white who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't.

IMO Anyone not in the top 100 of their respective regions should not be allowed to post in the sPvP boards, mostly because they just propagate spam that drowns out intelligent discussion.

I'm sorry but even if you're in the top 100 leaderboards, you can still propagate spam like no man's bees wax. So that discrimination does not solve the problem, it probably only reduces it.

Seven year old GW1 still manages to draw ~50 teams (8 people) for every mAT, that's 400 people with 20 QP's or more. I'd like to see how the standings are at the end of the month for the GW2 equivalent of the first mAT.

Not exactly. Currently in paid there is a ton of cheese going on. Many teams run heavy bunker comps or are currently abusing many different things. Basically Paid is either run cheese or have a significantly low chance of hitting 3rd map/winning.

Also some teams have significantly more play time than others and que before/after prime time where there is not too much competition to get those QPs

There are plenty of good players out there who have yet to accumulate QP's but now that the Ladder will be publish it will be interesting to see how and who starts to climb it.

There was not much incentive to do Paid, now hopefully with the ladder being published more people will look to compete to be mentioned.

You have no idea how on the first or second map I've gone up against the top 10 US almost every que anywhere near prime time, I get lucky maybe 1-2 ques where I'm not going up against a top team in the first map.

I haven't had time to try paid tournies yet, but this was definitely a concern of mine. Heavy bunker comps were a problem even in free tournies, but because of the weaker competition, you actually had a chance to avoid these teams a lot of the time. They really need to address this issue because heavy bunker comps are unbelievably boring to play both as and against.

I think for the time being they should limit how many of each profession a team can have (i.e. a combination of only 2 of either guardian, engie, or ele on each team).

Just a small list of things they would need to address to make these comps more balanced.
1. Adjust These runes: Mercy and Savnir
2. Adjust the group cleanse/healing combinations of Symbol Builds for Guardians and Staff Support Water Ele's
3. Address item bugs (wrong listed attributes)
4. Still Address overall Retaliation (not just from guardians, this boon is still really rewarding for almost no effort)
5. Still fix many skills that still allow for block bug abuse / Adjust invul on many skills across the board

probably a few more things that need to be addressed.

On other topics of balance:
Mercy Rune + Ranger self pet rez is bonkers atm (basically a self speed rez)
Cluster bomb spam from thieves

But these are a few things that if you enter paid, you will see reoccurring a lot. I'm not blaming really any one team for abuse, but if your looking to climb the QP ladder you more than likely have to abuse any # of these if not all of them.

I think this is a fantastic idea - the people who aren't on the board should simply stop caring about PvP.

Ah yes. Lets punish people that don't have enough time to amass a huge amount of QP.

A player is not necessarily good just because it has a high amount of points, just like a player is not necessarily bad because they have few.

Lol lol lol.

Im #31 up with 5 QP out of like 12 paid tourneys played (5 won, 4* 2nd place and 3 3-4th place). Too long queue times.

And the guys we beat i see have 20-30. Guess they just play a lot more :)

The best teams dont play pure bunker anymore. More like DPS "bunker" and whole team with AIR runes so if any1 is careless enough to drop aoe on them gets obliterated by runes.

After 15th no decent team will use bunker.

Its not fully updated for some reason, I have 8 qp points and I am not up there. Also many teams don't really care much about paid without a ranking system.

Wonderful troll attempt.

No wonder they don't. No ladder, long queues. I meet more good teams in free than in paid which is hilarious.

I see that some people earned some QP with their exploits. TP through the gates on foefire, the mace blocking bug with guardian. etc
Congratulations to them.

Most of them got QP during first days when a lot of randoms/bad teams played and burned their tickets they have accumulated.

I wish they did something more productive than creating pointless leaderboard (since it can't be really seen as ranking).

Not to mention lots of people that should be on this list are missing, myself included.

LAst people with 5 pts or so aren't really "team" I played most of the times with guys who have ~20. Just didn't play as much.

QP in most cases show time played really. Less so wins.

Can't wait for a ladder. Sometimes you roflstomp in tournies and the next day you only face higher ranked teams and only manage to win a few. I'm only rank 25 but i can imagine that a lot of people that are low ranked or don't have daily tourny experience are getting frustrated pretty quickly. Unfair matchups etc..

Any ranking system that essentially just rewards playing a lot, without factoring the quality of the opposition, is relatively meaningless. What they need is to use some sort of ELO variant, where your ranking is based not just on winning a lot of games but also on beating people above your level and on not losing.  Obviously to get 100 points you need to be pretty good, but the guy who gets 10 points from 20 tournaments is obviously a lot worse than the guy who gets 5 from 5.  Basically, without them as a minimum also recording the number of tournaments played we can't make the assumption that people are better than those 20 places below them.

Highly doubt that. Maybe for EU but not for US.

I have 5 QP and I'm not up there either.

Every Paid I've qued for with a decent pug that stomps Free (0-500) we go into paid and map 1 or 2 we are up against atleast PZ, JL, PTC.

It is simply a ladder and those at the top will probably stay at the top unless you can play more than them which isn't very possible.

This is simply to bide time for MAT's and for Custom Arenas.

Teams that win multiple ladders/tournaments will be more highly regarded than QP grinders.

Why do you keep posting like JL is even in the same league as PZ and PTC?

JL has done well to be PZ even LR's new line up is beating PZ.

Hopefully in a week or two BAMF will be able to actually compete with them. Played PTC today almost mirror comp, learned a lot.

I find so funny, you think actually SS is dominating EU cause ot the huge amount of QP they have. There 2 teams dominating EU and SS aint one of it, just wanted to clarify that. Btw neither is TP.

Which teams are those then? Certainly not TP. But i would atm place Chieftain Ninjas and SS at the top currently.
