Will we ever see "invisible" dye?

I think it'd be great if there was a dye color that just made a piece of armor invisible. I think it would add more customization to armor, so that we could essentially remove a part of it if we wanted to.

It's a cool idea, but it might cause some problems as it makes your character a lot harder to notice, even with the gigantic red name floating above you.
EDIT: I forgot about sPvP team colors, but what about WvW?

Ye i know it looks like a silly awnser but its a very valid one , Anet cant have naked chicks running around and keep their pegi 12 rating, you know that the very first thingh players will do is make naked chicks right XD ?
There was already an incident like this before, some players managed to transmute racial armor to others races , the game wasnt coded to deal with it, result, the other race char that used the armor was totally naked, and i mean TOTALLY
PS: i dont have anythingh against naked chicks in the game, im 29

But anyway seeing how most dye patters are, it wouldn't work really work because it would look really, really weird.

They kind of do. Pretty much all female light armor wearers can confirm that. Their panties can be dyed...
i was talking about making the chest piece invisible....you know, because when your using a chest piece or pants your underwear goes puff, all of it...this was proved with the racial armor on wrong chars exploit, some light armor shows underwear becuase that specific underwear is part of the armor model, the true underwear, the one you get when you try to get naked, that one is disabled as soon as you put armor on.

Mail me the money and I'll mail you the dye
You won't be able to see it though, because it's invisible

Well, all our characters have underwear, I don't think it would be too much of a coding challenge to have them show through if that was the part of the armor that you made transparent. I understand there was a bug that made them naked, but if it was an intended feature, they could easily fix it.
For me, it's more about customization, considering there really aren't that many armor looks you can go for. This, along with perhaps more tailoring recipes for town clothes, or maybe even some shops in towns. Hey, now there's an idea, clothing shops in racial towns.
They have a good formula with this game, I just wish there were more ways to make yourself look just how you want. All of this stems from my starting a new thief and realizing the only armor I like for her is the human tier 3, because it seems to be one out of maybe 2-3 armors in the game for medium that shows even a little skin, but after realizing it was going to cost some ridiculous amount of coin, I've decided I'm not sure I'm even going to bother leveling the character.
Yeah, I'm one of those guys that used to play the sims and spend all my time downloading extra clothes.

I really don't need to see dragon slayers running around in blue boxers hiked up to their belly buttons or pink, techno leotards.

The 2 pieces of armor that actually need a hide option (head and shoulders, 3 if you count the backpack accessories) already have a hide option. The game needs more armor selection, not the ability to hide the existing options.

Let's have legendary dyes. I don't want those dyes because if everyone uses them it will be painful for the eyes, just like stumbling upon a Cursed shore full of bots wearing The Dreamer. But if they are painful to craft like a lengendary weapon, at least not everyone would have it and abuse it.

I don't think you can see invisible dye, because it's invisible.
