I don't know if anyone here noticed but at the teaser site of The Lost Shores update you can see at the top the Shadow of Mad King Update , The Lost Shores Update and a lock December Update.

What do you think it will contain aside from the Wintersday Event?

considering the fact that the halloween update contained some permanant effects on the game maybe the wintersday update will too

No shit XD they porbably started working on  Winters Day update a few months ago.

I hope it will offer as much as Halloween did with some improvements on how to aquire weapon/armour skins.

well, if not enough ppl will buy lion chest keys, then they will eventually drop it. in the long run, they will keep only what brings them money.

I believe there was a post somewhere from one of the devs about this.
Stating that it will be very different from the GW1 Wintersday but that they didn't want to spoil anything.

I'm waiting for the Candy Cane weapon skins as a random award from the black lion chests, and the QQ I spent $50 in keys and got nothing. It's not that Anet is smart enough to continue this RNG to get profit, it's that players are dumb enough to continue to do it again.

I say they should put a miniature train that travels through Lion's Arch, and players can jump on it and be transported around (slowly).

on topic, there will be an exciting idea, followed by mediocre execution with much QQing from the community, and millions of "WAAHHHH Wintersday is bad" posts on guru containing said QQing, and a lot of market speculation on things that don't even get used in the event.

Hmm? We have clearly managed 6 (soon 7) years in GW1 without a Santa stand-in. Why should that change?

Which is why I will not be using any keys during any of these events. I have four sitting in the bank right now that went untouched during the Halloween event. Call it QQ'ing, whining, whatever you want - I don't care. lol
