Hello my fellow Guild Wars 2 players.  I have recently developed an Android application that will map orichalcum node locations throughout Tyria.  For those of you trying to get some of the high end weapons you need to get orichalcum and we all know how expensive it can be.  With this app you can find the locations with relative ease leading to more efficient farming, and quicker acquisition of your desired weapons.

The concept of the app is simple, if you see an orichalcum node out in Cursed Shore, Malchor's Leap or Frostgorge Sound, add a node to the map to share with everyone else.  My goal is to expand on this idea to contain anything of value that may be hard to find.  Currently, I am looking for a select few to help me test the app.  If you are interested please respond to this thread or send me a message.

Happy Adventuring!

That works great for everyone in JQ, but "Where's My Orichalcum?" covers all worlds.

Actually as long as you know the areas it spawns you will always know where to look.

Until ANet pushes a patch and all the spawn locations change :P

I'm down for testing!

There are other resources out there for this but I don't know of one for an Android app. Sounds like a great idea. It could be very useful for those that don't have dual monitors to pull up the maps on another screen. Does it need a constant connection or does it just DL the map and then you are good until you try to mark a spot or refresh it?
I'll wait until others vouch for it though before testing. I'm paranoid. I have an HTC Thunderbolt though if you need testing on that device.

In it's current setup it wouldn't always need network connectivity.  It basically displays a map (Cursed Shore, Frostgorge Sound or Malchor's Leap) with little orichaclcum nodes spread around where they were last reported.  It stores the node locations in the cloud while the images always remain the same.  I have tested it on the Galaxy S3 and it works great.  I will take some screenshots to post on here so you guys can see the basics.  It's still pretty basic but it does the job.

How the app works (brief description):

First you are prompted to choose your world, then the map you want to view.  Once you have chosen a map, you can see orichaclum nodes placed by yourself and others.  The displayed image below is in Cursed Shore (World: Maguuma).
