I have noticed that whenever I enter a swamp area in Guild Wars 2, the game performs and looks much worse, like there's some sort of fog that just looks terrible and blurry on my low-medium end laptop. I have no issues with how the rest of the game looks or performs. Does anyone else notice this and is there anything I can do? I have an nvidia 230m, which is obviously not very good, but again I have no other issues.

Some swampy areas have a "fog". Under some conditions (graphics settings or glitches), you might not see the fog, but it may make things look "foggy" anyway.

Not 100% certain but turning Post Processing OFF in the graphics settings might get rid of this issue for you!
Like Quaker says, it's most likely due to the game still rendering fog effects without rendering the actual fog itself due to your graphics settings.
