Hey guys,
For those like me that would like to get there hands on winsterday day christmas weapons but there wallets tight. I have a good feeling that glacial core and lonestones will be used for crafting weapons. Just want to help out those folks that are in the same situation before its spikes up. Since halloween was ridiculous high prices. -> charged cores and charged lodestones. Right now there not that expensive so its affordable.

same happened to pumpkins.... i think Anet is smart enough to not have these kind of market manipulations in the game. they will probably introduce special items again via chests.

Im trying to find items that resemble wintersday and buy a few of them.

I can see glacial being used in gift recipes like the molten and destroyer lodestones were used for halloween (my opinion). Interesting thing I've noticed with the glacial lodestone is the supply is dwindling ever since the bot ban wave..it was at 1121 two days ago and now its almost half that.

It's kinda early to worry about this.  Wintersday is like 40+ days from now

I'm hearing alot of rumors, glacial lodestones will reach the prices of other lodestones at +1g each, they will prolly release more recipes and weapons that need them.

Now that their supplies are dropping and the buy orders going up, the prices are sure to spike up, and we start to see that in gw2spidy.com, some people are trying to dip in now for some profits.

Don't really care about the prices as I have most of my limited funds invested in other areas, but I do hope these get used (alone with other LSs) to create some new, exotic craftable armors. Think of GW1's glacial gloves (with GW2 graphics), but incorporated into a full set of armor. In my opinion, such armor is one glaring absence in the game currently. Charged armor would be sick, but I'd hate to think of how much those stones might spike further, lol.

I grabbed some.  It is really is just a matter of time that they get used in something.  Just depends on if you wanna tie up any money on them till then.  I grabbed some corrupted lodes because I had a feeling bot bans would come before content update.  I sold to early at 80s  they are over 1g now.  These I will definitely sit on till the time is right.

Possible this content update could bring in more weapons using molten lodestones also as they don't have many uses right now either.

Well sure, but it is a matter of whether or not they're at their low point.  Admittedly, if there is a use in wintersday that low point will be pretty soon, but I doubt it's there yet.

The lowpoint was during Halloween when they were like 15s or less. I did buy some then, but sold at just 25, lol. Been steady increase since then. Oh well.

Well technically the lowpoint would've been a month ago when they were at 6 silver   I just wonder if it's really a safe investment at this high value.

think of it this way, if corrupted lodestones were at 30-40s, would it be a good investment ?

if you wanna tie up cash long term it might be.  You have to look at supply and demand and also when looking at lodestones you have to look at the cores.  If you invest in Glacial because there are only 200 available your probably going to shoot yourself in the foot if there are like 6000 cores because if something worth while does come out people will undercut you because it will be profitable if the cores are super cheap.

I bought 100 of these when they were 6s each... I'm still holding out hope they rise up to 60s+ eventually.
