[Global_GW2]

For what it's worth, I saw plenty of WM on the SBI BL on late Saturday night.

When I first got on, JQ was trebbing SH from the island, and had dug in there with a good amount of defensive siege and lots of players. At the time, BG only held SH, Redlake and the Redwater supply camp. An epic battle ensued at the bridge, with massive pushes back and forth, before BG was finally able to break the siege. It was up there as one of my funnest WvW encounters to date, especially when JQs line broke and it turned in to a full blown open field skirmish across the island.

Anyhoo, as it got late, a WM + others zerg started hitting SH contantly, and took Redlake and constantly capped, re-capped and swarmed Redwater every time we tried to ninja some supply to support the damage done to SH in between attacks. So yeah, maybe they weren't all there, but WM was definitely playing this weekend.

I am taking nothing away from SBI cause they are a great server and so are their players, but lets not lie to ourselves, these matches, no matter who wins them, are won during the weekdays, not the weekends.  It is a coverage war, everyone in every match knows that.  Frankly I hope free transfers never end, cause people will come and go and coverage gaps have to be filled.  I just think the battles are too long to really be fun after the weekends for a lot of people.

There are two wars during the week, the weekend wars and the weekday wars, which I call coverage wars =D

I think that's when people started to return to their homes after the meet. But yea we still had people playing over the weekend since not everyone went to G-Star.

And I really wish other servers don't post flaming threads like 'omg SBI can't hold without WM'; sure we can =.=. SBI's power comes through weekdays coverage. We never cared about weekends.

I am not taking away from EU or US guild however without 24hour coverage you cannot win T1 games so without SBI's strongest asian time zone guild you cannot win same as, if we did not have asian guild we would lose.

You were right and wrong or should I say, I was right and wrong.  Last week SBI was leading after the weekend and first week BG was leading after the weekend and point difference was more than couple thousand.

Not exactly. There's a 17 hour spread between US west coast (where I play) and Seoul. When I saw a chunk of WM on a map, it was between midnight and 2am PST Sunday morning (late night Saturday as I described it), which was 5-7pm in Seoul. In other words, it was their primetime on Sunday night.

Epic battle in SBI BL last night JQ zerg come out to take DB and BG attacking SH. This is what Tier 1 should be. The number 1 server is having a hard time defending it own BL.

P.S: Where is this NYS guild that is suppose to be bigger then WM. I have only seen max 10 of there players. Genuinely curious (not trolling) unless the are in the EB BL which i don't que.

I have not seen that many of them either. They are supposed to have 1500+ players but since they were originally in HoD I don't think all of them were able to transfer. Or maybe there are still log-in issues from China.

That was epic. Hills changed ownership a few times within the space of an hour or so. Once we had it, we tried to rush into Bay behind JQ but the wall was already up/repaired to prevent reinforcements (good play).

Its unlikely the whole guild headed for the convention. They are a large guild but their main commanders and WvW force were not around during the weekend. Probably only a fraction like 20 +WM around when I saw them on the weekend. It was SBi map on 1 of those days and really outnumbered.

If you take out strongest guilds by quantity / quality any server will suffer for that period and have to put in defensive work.

I sort of recalled us only caring about weekends when we were fighting the old HoD. Times change I guess.

The 2 maps i was on BG and JQ border, much of the intense attacks and opposition is from Blackgate although score not reflective of that.

Yep was trying to hold you guys (DiE), ELTE, Urge off but seems like you guys are everywhere . Then we lost both DB and Hills.

I was there during NA primetime that we took DB after 4 hours or so. I was there when we lost it as well during oceanic/sea.

On a different note we might just have Sea of Sorrows next week if the current trending on ratings holds.  In any case no matter what the battles have been epic this week and I have had a lot of fun.  Great fights all around.

  Major zerging going on, but some pretty spectacular sieges by JQ. The JQ zerg seemed very mobile, active, and smarter than you average zerg, so good job to whomever was leading there.

   BG had a smaller zerg going for a bit (HB I think it was), but I think they left the field early.

Looks like it. According to the Match up site, we're less than one point of being overtaken by SoS. I can't speak for everyone, but I know a lot of us are tired of seeing the same faces. It'll be nice to have a fresh match next week.

Just don't roflstomp T2 or you will just trade places over and over.  That is what happened to JQ, ET, and SBI in the HoD days

^ These rating systems are easily manipulated when one roflstomps. Keep the ratings close such that people don't just flip back and forth because of an upset in a single game. Case in point, SBI/JQ have been beating on each other for a while, yet both are still in #1/#2 seeds... because the ratings are close. Back in the HoD days, JQ and SBI both would go from that #2 to #4 then back again. Everyone's sort of catching on to the system and sort of seeing that it's not really worth it to +695 anymore, all you do is give yourself a future headache when you bump up a tier but aren't ready for it, then get bumped back down to see the same faces again.
