I find it very hard to believe, that someone who is known to have a history of trolling and forum warrioring in previous games, has decided to remain quiet on the forums in this game......while someone created an account to pretend to be him.

The AION thread about Menaace crying in vent. Interesting read. Many similarities of persona.

Here's more tidbits, if I remember correctly, when GW2 launched Vinzan started MMAC, not Menaace... Menaace was with some SBI guild and transferred and took over MMAC maybe two-three weeks after launch. I remember always asking where he was in guild chat.  Menaace also was like the last guy in guild to get lvl 80 since he played more politics than GW2, and started his toon on JQ so late in the game. Anyone who remember these MMAC players from Rift know that they love to play politics as much as PvP.

The MMAC GW2 site is gone, the EC site is gone, Menaace and MMAC core is gone or at least in name, and the buzz is they are back on SBI, even on PS2, but it's just as likely they are all still here in AoS as part of the rebranding efforts just with alts.

Regarding SBI
The only early correlation to SBI I've heard about MMAC is they were on SBI in beta. That would be like associating many of the TA guilds with a server prior to them deciding on HoD.

At live release, SBi had an early framework of community including WvW guilds and the website. A guild the size of MMAC (150? ) would have been noticed very easily back then. At the very least to reach out to them.

Never ever heard of MMAC at that point. We would have seen them on the field as well. I heard the closest sighting we got was post a while back of two MMAC PvE players spotted on SBi ( residual from beta days )

Most servers including SBi was pretty much fixated on Titan Alliance and Ascension Alliance as the top dogs that needed to be challenged. There would have been no way to foresee that JQ or SBI would have the staying power or things would unfold like they did with Northern Silverpeaks and HoD.. I mean we all believed in our own servers but did not have proper assessment of all servers yet.

Most of us here on SBi want to have good fights regularly. You need healthy opposition for that else people will get bored. The sabotage scenario seems really far fetched.

Just checking in to say good fights last night (1600-0130 Pacific) in EBG. SM ninjas, towers flipping all over the place. That is the kind of WvW that keeps me coming back.

Once again, 2v1 doesn't matter. I don't care about it and neither should you. One Word: Strategy. Learn to deal.

Please keep server drama off these forums. Take that to your own community sites. Frankly, I understand that every server has "that guy", but it has no place here. This is a match thread and it is a place for sportsmanship and nostalgia over good battles. Post scores and screenshots, not drama. Next time you look down to press post, ask yourself: Is this about the match, or should this be on my own server's forums? Live by this rule and the mods won't need to have a field day in our match threads. It's really getting old.

I agree, JQ internal issues is for them to sort out posting on guru is not going to fix it for them. All of a sudden new accounts is popping up QQ about things that is not even relevant to the topic. I like see score updates vid of good battles and ppl QQ about double teaming   which is always funny to read

P.S JQ got some good oceanic. Got spawn camp on JQ BL until some SYN come along yesterday.

Even so you would be fielding more players than both BG and JQ in their SEA/OC prime-time combined (/making-a-joke). Personally I think some of you guys need to realize that this is a game, and if some players don't find it "fun" they will simply not log in altogether - the guilds that are still active in WvW right now on BG are not so much concerned about winning right now but to participate in some great fights against massive odds.

I have an inkling that this has been a consistent issue on all servers to a degree (I remember on ET that this was very similar); if players were "winning" in overall score then we would get a significant presence online (i.e. T2). It must also be noted that there was a flip-side to this, as soon as we started to go into second place or face some serious competition the casual players logged off and made it look like we had thrown the match. The same thing is happening now, with the additional issues coming from other games coming out (Dishonoured, Halo 4, PS2), university exams, RL and natural attrition due to the PvE (I include PvX here) guilds not seeing much progression in the game so as a result they just don't log in.

I have many friends from the ex-AA who have moved on to other games as a result of some of the oceanic s becoming gaming communities (which is the death nell for a solid in-game presence). The nature of PvX guilds are that they will likely be more casual in their outlook, and in doing so maybe log in to WvW once or twice a week and if they are losing they generally lack the drive to make a difference.

In reality I have only seen Noc, Urge, Thai, DiE, TEAM, KnT and ELTE not give up the fight. But even though we won't win, (pfft) we will still see you guys on the borderlands and EB.

Thank you We didnt actually plan it, but when you choose to remove their gates for us, we are not the kind that turns it down.

Right? Between that and the running away when people are outnumbered by 1, it is no wonder the other servers believe that SBI is riding the coat tails of WM.

It's more about organization of random pugs. If there are 4 of you in a supply camp and you see more than 5 enemies incoming, someone has to speak out and decide whether you're gonna try to defend or fall back. Without this, you cannot expect everyone to fight unless all of you are in the same guild or with a commander.

And this is not the reason behind the SBI = WM issue. Psychological warfare is a part of WvW. Don't let them make you feel insecure about yourselves.

If you really hate random pugs running away when you are fighting, you are free to leave SBI. QQing here about mistakes of pugs isn't helping instead of helping them get organized in-game. However, i doubt you can find a pugs-free server.

Running away does nothing but lose the battle for certain. Staying and fighting leaves a chance to win. I'm not QQing, I'm calling it out. I see guild tags and names in this very thread that chest thump here but run like their face is on fire in game.

Edit: Not allowed to call out specific people or guilds. The mods have placed that on the no-no list in the past.

I disagree. Staying and fighting isn't always the right decision especially if you're far away from spawn. Numbers will always be a big part of WvW and sometimes, retreating and joining up with your main force is a better option. Running away doesn't mean you are losing the battle for certain.
