Hey guys,
As the name suggests - I'm looking to see what the general consensus is on Scepter/Focus - a weapon set I've not really heard anything about, positive or negative. I was hoping to get some idea of what stats to build for and where - what armor/trinkets/weapons should I shoot for? Also, what sorts of utilities/traits would best facilitate the skill set that this weapon combo has access to?

Well... the main reason you don't hear much about S/F is that 95% of us gave up on it about 2 months ago. Offhand Dagger is just so much more useful, basically.

Hi there!
Scepter/Focus is a great weapon set for the elementalist.
It's mainly used to tank certain parts of dungeons and can also be used in a condition build for 1vs1.
There are a few builds you can use as S/F:
-Signet build
-Tank
-Cond. Damage.
In all 3 kinds of builds, cond. damage will be the main aspect to deal damage with, since you hang out a lot in earth atunement.
Tanker:
As for tank, I would use anything that looks like this build:

The short cooldowns on your cantrips, combined with the earth immunity recharges, makes you really tanky and being able to tank any hard-hitting skills. I used to run this build in arah for giganticus to tank the 2nd and 3rd stage. Run this build + tank gears and you'll be able to solo Giganticus Lupicus 2nd/3rd stage.
Support:
As for the support this game has to offer, you either heal or give your allies boons. In this case, it will be the boons part. You wont be able to heal much as with staff, so why would you use S/F as support, if staff heals better? Well here's why:
Flame wall (#4 of fire) has a really long duration. As S/F you have about 4 ''combo finishers: blast''. (#2/3 Fire, #5 Water, #4 Earth.) Cast these while you're on the firefield and you'll stack up to 12 might to all your nearby allies.
The build:

Since you can't have 30 points in earth, you'll just have to spam your signets all the time. That's also the reason why I took the signets with the shortest cooldowns.
DPS/Condition Damage:
Since you got a lot toughness and 2 immunity's, you can go for full rampagers to get that crit rate up to gain constant vigor, constant burning and have a good benifit of the last minor trait of Arcane power.Try to keep up the might-stacking for more bleed damage and basicly just spam #1 skill of earth.
