Ascended armour was in GW1, now ArenaNet brings it into GW2.
It's not like ArenaNet will pump out new gear tier after tier.
Google the meaning of the word "slightly".

Ascended armor in GW1 was just for skins, they had no better stats than MAX ARMOR you could get with 1 hour of gameplay. The resists on GW1 ascended armor were for certain areas and for story purposes only.
Welcome to a gear treadmill - adding harder content which requires higher stats that is accomplished by grinding for better gear.

In GW, Ascended armors weren't "slightly more powerful than exotics" and couldn't hold slots for infusions, that will allow you to increase your character's power.

Ascended armor has a mere *chance* of holding infusions, and yet it's still slightly better than exotics. That means there is more to them than just holding infusion vs. X monster.

Can they close this thread? it's kinda unnecessary to open a thread to tell people what to think and do. It's not your personal blog or opinion columns.
