Sometimes I just can't stand this game at all. In a lot of ways it feels like ArenaNet developed this game to be unfair in a manner that almost seems like "developer trolling". So here starts my grand list of things in GW2 that piss me right off.
  • Some vistas are just stupidly hard to get to. There's at least one vista per zone that trolls the F out of everyone. In this instance there's usually a ledge that you have to jump, and in this instance you have to be PRECISE with your jump or you'll end up walking a minute or so up a stupid hill just to get to that jump again. it's insulting, and annoying.

  • Mobs that immobilize or knockdown: They always come in packs. I can name Ettins and Canyon Spiders as just a few who do this. What the F was ANet smoking when they decided to troll the crap out of us with this junk?! They stress that players with skill will always come out on top, but in these cases, YOU. CAN'T. WIN.

  • Every dungeon in the game has a pack of mobs who will wipe an entire group, even if the entire group was comprised of military strategists. Take the hounds from CM or the hounds from TA as an example. YOU. CAN'T. WIN. (unless you have a group of level 80's in exotic gear). It's insulting, and annoying.

  • Map travel is just another thing that pisses me off. IT SHOULD BE FREE. As if exploring the world isn't enough. Now you have to pay 2 or more silver just to travel to an area that you spent time exploring in the first place. I don't give a damn about the lore of Asura making a buck off of their gates. I've spent nearly 3g on gate travel from 1-80. That's bullcrap. That's 3g I could have invested in a legendary. ANet is full of crap. This travel fee is crap, no matter how you fan boys try to justify it. It was free in GW1, it should be free in GW2!

  • Walking speed sucks the big one, boyo. It really does. We should walk as fast as we do with a speed boost cut in half. My Charr looks like a disabled veteran when he walks about. Same goes for my Norn. Sure they're big people, but for lord's sake, even my Asura runs as fast as a frog with a stick up his ass. Just another way ANet milks our time and forces us to pay ridiculous WP fees.

  • OPTIMIZATION SUCKS THE BIG ONE. I would rather have over 1 minute loading screen times than have my AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU get ownd in the anus by this game. ANet probably killed a large demographic by not hiring competent programmers. F'n intel users. DIAF.

  • Everything in this game up to 80 is a grind. It's the same old hearts. Same old exploration. Same old frustrating, lagged out WvW. And same old dungeons (thnx for only giving us 8 dungeons for EIGHTY F'ING LEVELS). I can't enjoy the game when there's absolutely no veriety at all. At least give me a goal beyond the daily achi and the monthly achi. They're annoying as it is.

  • THERE'S NOTHING AFTER LEVEL 80. At least if you don't count grinding for legendaries as something. Sure the game is sub free, but I'll be god damned if I pay 60 bucks, then some in the TP and get nothing after level 80. What's ANet's response to this? CREATE A PATCH THAT ADDS A GEAR TREADMILL. What the hell were they thinking!? This game is more shit in 3 months than I expected.
  • The TP is out of this world. For one, it's bound to all servers within a region, which allows for exploitation on a grand scale. I've never seen prices on an AH in any MMO higher than this in my entire 12 years of MMO gaming. How does ANet justify this? "The less bots, the higher the prices". What a load of crap. in this case, I'd rather report my account getting hacked every month than pay ridiculously high prices for a stack of wool. This game has the worst economy of any MMO I've ever played.
  • Chat functions suck. I need not say more.
  • There's no LFG tab. No, I'm not saying there should be a region-wide LFD tool. But at the very least there should be something better than a "LFG" toggle. Give us a F'n LFG list organized by who's looking for what dungeon!
  • Adding people to your group is a pain in the ass. Why can't I just right click on someone's name in chat and invite them?! Instead I have to type in their full name to invite them. What a joke.
  • Guilds are a joke. This whole "join multiple guilds" system will never work so long as EVERYONE expects you to represent their guild only or else you'll get kicked. It's a failed system that adds trivial verity.
In all, Anet wants your money. They've become worse than Blizzard in some ways. By god, this game is a trolling jip funded by the minds that brought us Lineage 1-2 (what a crap game). No matter how you cut it. ANet developed the game, and now NCSoft and Nexon are calling the shots on future development.

Jump ship now. There will never be a such thing as a WoW killer or "next gen" MMO. This genre is *ing dead.

So you don't want to fight anything, you don't want to pay for anything and you don't want to work for anything.

Have you tried not playing?

Yes actually, and I'm having a great time playing CS:GO, DotA2, and watching youtube during my weekdays, and when it's bearable: playing GW2 when I'm at my most absolute state of boredom.

You do know that asura only look like they're running faster and norn slower because of the size difference... A 5ft person needs to run faster to cover more ground than a 7ft tall person does =x

I'm not saying that the game is perfect the way it is, but I know many players -including myself- who can still enjoy it with casual gameplay.

But...if you can't have fun in a computer game where others can still have fun with casual gameplay, it may not be the game's fault.

Some of those seem more like L2P sort of things.  I can win and have on many occasions.

Hate the game and the people that made it?  Stop logging in and go back to your other games if you think they are better.  It's quite simple.

It's good to have an honest vent, but some of the things which you discuss plainly wouldn't be an issue for a lot of players.

1. Aside from Tribulation in Dredgehaunt, most of the vistas are rather tame. It's literally a jumping puzzle where once you figure out the right jumps, it's easy.

2. The game has Stun Break skills. You. Can. Win.

3. Use stun breaks. Use minions/turrets/illusions to bait the enemy. Res in the middle of combat; use res skills. Being downed in a dungeon is really no big deal; get back up.

4. You know, you can travel to Lion's Arch for free, right? Also, you can run from LA to your Order's HQ and take their portal to Fort Trinity in Orr. As it stands, you may pay 1.5s for a waypoint, but what you do once you get there should be worth it. You see it as 3g lost, but most see it as money spent in order to gain MORE money.

5. Speed boosts are +33%-+50% speed. You do not walk half that speed. The rest of your complaint is balance stating that race doesn't matter.

6. Not a legitimate complaint.

7. Do your personal story. It has variety and gives you an absurd amount of experience. Also, use the materials gathered by your first character in order to craft. You call it "grindy", but what are you comparing it to?

8. It's hard to address your complaint because nobody knows what this new update will bring. Chill out.

9. Unsure what your complaint here is. Less supply (due to banned bots) means higher prices.

10. What is the problem? They're fine. You do need to say more.

11. There is a LFG tab. Press (Y). Go to Lion's Arch to form groups. Be social.

12. This is your first legitimate complaint. It's especially annoying when people use unorthodox characters.

13. Seems like a problem with those guilds, not the system. I'm in a fine 90-person guild and we do great in WvW. I'm also in several other guilds with various groups of friends for social reasons. Those 100%-represent guilds care about the numbers of active people. They're the same ones that advertise constantly citing their 400+ members as being a positive thing. Point is, their guild space is at a premium, and if you don't want 100% representation, then there are other players that will gladly take your spot. Don't join those guilds if you can't keep up.

Save yourself the headache and quit now. Uninstall and destroy the game disc, give your account away to someone.
Seriously you're not enjoying the game. This isn't a job. Nobody's forcing you to keep on playing.

We don't allow rant threads. There are also plenty of other threads to (constructively) talk about things you don't like or would like to see changed in GW2.

You are fooling yourself, user. Nothing here is what it seems. ANet is not the plucky hero, Guru is not an evil empire, and this is not the grand arena.
