Entertaining video with some good editing skills/music.

But skill-wise and viability-wise means nothing to me unless its in a proper tPvP environment :)

Understood.  This is more of a for-fun thing.  I'm much more interested in fights ATM than objective-based PvP and let's face it... there is a ton of flat out cheese in tPvP at the moment.

Oo what cheese? Bunker guardians are pretty damn cheesey.....but apart from that its mostly fine.

The problem with tPvP atm is the metagame with mesmer portals/bunker guardians basically being a requirement. I would encourage you to try it out more! If you could later make a video out of purely tPvP that would REALLY be awesome! Give it a try at least!

Again good job with the video - its by far the best GW2 one I've seen so far :)

The thing is that I can't make a solo 1v1 movie doing tPvP because if I was playing that way I'd be doing a huge disservice to my team.  I'm sure you know what I mean by this.

And, thanks.  :)

the only cheese imo is well necro, block bug and instagank theifs. wells are cheese because if you fight them correctly by only have 1 on point or rotate in they arent that much damage, block bug is cheese because its a bug that makes you massively op, and instagank imo shouldnt exist because it takes still out of the "fight" for the defending player. trap rangers are pretty cheese right now but thats only because plague signet is broken and with out that you will never get the bleeds back on the ranger and off you

nice demonstration of what necro's are capable of, but damn it takes forever to kill something.

Nice clip, could you tell me what you think about moving all points from power line to condition line, as in your thought?

lich form is once every 180 seconds. a good ranger should never be in range of a mark so both of you will never be in it, the distance they are from you will let them dodge dagger 4 and plague signet is broken. so all you really have is consume condition. since they out range you, youll just get loaded up on a max bleed stack in a few seconds

Woah WTF your traits. I have to try that. I saw your utils and weapons and thought 'hey it's just like mine'. But traits are polar opposites.

Nice video. I don't care so much of whether it's sPvP or tPvP or high level, as long as it looked fun and competitive.

on tpvp maps, you can (almost) kite every ranged class behind pillars, like in WOW where you cant dodge and where pillars saved lifes in arena. when im in lich form, everyone thinks im squishy at this time and trys to kill me, or they kite me because of the big dmg, no problem. i traited "Greater Marks"... okay, rangers could kite my staff marks, but like i said, pillars safes lifes or he tries to cap my point, so he is in range for my marks and dagger burst (forcing him to dodge twice, so my root is definitely on my target)! Rangers have pets too, so i just set the mark to the pet, no problem. Plaguet Signet is unfortunately bugged, but sometimes it works, they should fix it.

its stupid to play my build on large areas like Foefire: Graveyard or BoK: Clocktower, dagger has a damn short range, yeah..

ok multiple things were wrong with this. first of all how am i going to kite a ranger whos short bow out rangers my scepter by 300 and has the same range as my staff? next i dont see what you mean by cant dodge behind a pillar but that is pretty irrelevant. lich form is dogshit. they will just run away and you can either say and do nothing or chase and get 25 bleeds on you in 2 seconds and die as soon as you come out. you know for putrid mark work you both have to be standing in it right? ya you might kill his pet but hes either stacked 25 bleeds at range on you and you killed his pet and he is still stacking or you chased and he looped back took the point and you hit every trap. lastly dagger mh is terrible especially vs anything that moves let alone has range

Thats true, but..... 1200/900 range AoE means that the "center of the AoE" has max range of 1200/900, so it is very much possible to hit further than that with these skills. The Grasping Dead and Enfeebling Blood skills (900 range) can hit almost as far as staff autoattack (1200 range) - you can easily test it on the golems.

sorry for my crap english. hide yourself behind a pillar (kite) and you eat no damage, the ranger wants to deal dmg of course, so he runs to you, profit: no ranged fight. i play dagger/warhorn & staff, never mentioned that i fight with scepter. :o lich form isn't dogshit, it's a nice transformation with dogshit cooldown. if i switch to lich, i have stability and good burst, if the opponent wont hide oder leave the point (its irrelevant if he can dodge twice, instead of thiefs, they can dodge almost all the time) he will die. i dont have to stay in the mark to transfer my conditionals to my opponent and i don't care if i kill the pet, I think I can't even beat his pet with the transfered conditionals, just dont want to have the conditionals on me that would own me crazy. if the ranger set his traps, i'll use plaguet signet after getting all condis for transfer it back, just wait till that skill works again. dagger is great, remember, it's just a small point to cap, the opponent has to fight you in that point, profit: pressure all the time because of the short rangefight (instead against guardians).

btw: sorry raggok for spamming ur thread and very nice montage, have seen ur over videos, very cool :) necro charr are rare!

oh i didnt realize you meant you running behind the pillars. but either way the ranger spec that im talking stacks bleeds really really fast so you might get them back on his pet fairly easy. but when you run off point he will put traps back on and get stacked again. when plague signet worked i would wait for a full stack then put it on him and he would drop. now plague signet has what seems to be a narrow facing requirement and even then can still fail. if you cant get that 25 stack on him or close enough to use your weapons he will kill you from range then cap the point. the problem isnt MH range its plague signet not working. if you both werent required to stand in putrid mark it would fix this but it would make necros op. this ranger build doesnt seem to be wildly popular thank god.

im not 100% sure what the build is but i would guess it would be something like http://intothemists....-J0-jwmAjwmA2Vp which would mean they got might from somewhere since they were hitting for 118 per bleed tick. either way a thief dealt with them very quickly

edit: copy paste fail

I don't really even play necro anymore but I'm going to consider everything you say about necro shit because of this one quote.

TEST SHIT CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU SPEW SHIT AND FLAME OTHER PEOPLE

thanks.

and condi necros own trap rangers, you're just not doing it right, i'd be more scared of a power ranger.

on topic: nice video however the build generally doesn't work in tpvp because you take too long to kill anything and you're generally susceptible to being killed.

first of all he only used traps when i chased him secondly it means that putrid mark is either bugged with condi trasnfer, he dodged it as i layed it or it has a range for transfer and i was passed that range.

Thief buff pretty much negates most of the video now. As it relates to thieves

Nice video though. I've wanted to play necro myself sometimes but just can't seem to get into it no matter how hard I try.

People generally seem to have no idea how good Putrid Mark is. I think a lot of people make the false assumption gnuworldorder is making in this thread.
