I wrote a huge wall of text on the topic on the official forums and i find it pretty silly to just copy/paste everything, so here's the link - https://forum-en.gui...ursaat-and-more

Feel free to correct my data, bash my theories or provide alternatives.

I didn't read all the comments and stopped at the seer/gods making bloodstones. The Seers made the bloodstone (singular) the gods made the bloodstones (plural). It even says in that path that Arah is where the gods shattered the original bloodstone. Again, if this was already mentioned in those comments my apologies, I'm busy tiptoeing through the tulips..

I haven't had the opportunity to do Arah yet, but there is one inconsistency between your testimony and that I've heard from others - elsewhere, I've heard it said that the Seers made the original bloodstone to contain non-draconic magic, thus protecting it from the dragons (albeit, theoretically, at the risk of giving a dragon a very big meal if it managed to find where the original proto-bloodstone was hidden). So the bloodstone isn't to channel the magic of the dragons (which is inherently corrupting) but to protect the magic that hadn't already been corrupted.

The idea of the gods having been formerly human is one that's come up a lot, but it has a lot of flaws, including the interview where it was stated definitively that the gods do predate humanity - and this has to mean the gods as a group, since we know Grenth and Kormir at least ascended after humanity had emerged. It's hard to predate a race that you came from.
