I can't imagine starting over... I've put a lot in to this character already, but just don't feel a big connection...  I don't get a lot of playtime, so leveling takes me awhile...

I know with the story line and all that they will probably never have race changes, just wondering if anyone else made it this far and decided to start over?

Games are played for fun. If you're not having fun doing something, do another something. Asking others to make a personal decision is...... intriguing.

I must've proof-played at least 3 toons to 30+ before settling. Big deal.

I'm not asking someone to make a decision for me, just wondering how many others have gone this far then decided... hmmm, I'd rather my toon's race be X instead of Y.

Although, I do agree with, I'd enjoy doing most of it over again, although repeating content is only so fun with the same play style.

I'm probably either a lot slower at leveling, or just really have that much less play time   I have my one thief at 65, then a couple alts around 15.  Maybe I'll just get this guy to 80 (doesn't seem that far off now?) and try out an alt... after all, it is only the 'looks'

I rolled an Asura thief to 65. As I continued through the game, I liked him less and less. So I rolled a Sylvari Necro to level 73, Norn Guardian to 42, and Norn Mesmer to 60 (favorite so far). I really wanted to re-roll my thief because I liked the different races better--just connected better. Just today I got the gumption to and am happy with the choice. (Having played through the various possible story lines in both the Sylvari and Norn races, I picked the one I knew I liked the best. Definitely helps with the first 30 levels before picking factions.)

Thanks Phenn!  That is how I've been feeling!  It's only time that I'd lose, and honestly, in these games I've always thought leveling was 90% of the fun as end game can turn in to a chore.

I came to the decision last night to roll another thief in a new race, just for fun and I'll see how it goes... My thief is Asura as well, and I do like him some of the time, just not all... (wow, I sound like a whiner on such a dumb topic)

Friend of mine deleted his guardian once because he didn't like her hair. That was at level 65. He made another guardian straight after only to realise he hated all melee classes. He proceeded to make a warrior.

Now that is funny crap!  I don't think I'd delete unless out of room, which can easily happen I guess if you are active enough

I'm on my 15th Character

Finally found a race class build that I actually like. Furthest I made it was 62. Was it worth the change? Yes, I have played all classes and many builds, some classes obviously multiple times. Glad I did, gained a lot of insight into many classes. And now that I have picked my Norn Ranger, I am having a blast (many of the classes and builds I played were effective, but just weren't what I was looking for in a character)

Nice!  I'm all over the place, but just think I'll try different race/classes before dropping my rogue... I figure something had draw me to my lil' asura thief.  In the end, who knows!

How about this.  lvl 80 asura thief, 2 exotic sets, every exotic weap type, half done with legi.  Rerolled norn thief and love it.  took a bit but got my exotics back and looks sets.  finished the legendary on it.  Glad I did it.

Just reroll man, if you don't feel the connection just reroll, you'll level faster anyway since you know the game better.

(btw I just spent extra gold on renaming my exotics to the correct gear for their stats using fine transmutes after derping the firs time around, the gold hurts but it feels good now im not rolling around in carrion gear with berserker stats...)

the game has no sub, it only costs you time, and a tiny bit of sanity xD
