So I have been hearing alot about the legendary weapons not being worth it. I have seen a video about the twilight, and sunrise greatswords, they have cool animations. But the meteorlogicus has like now animation at all. Is it worth it at all? Also do the legendary weapons have better upgrades or stats or something or is it just a look. Either way would be good in my opinion. And I also saw the word infused slot? What does that mean?

Legendary weapons have the same stats as Exotics (will be boosted to Ascended when they come out). They're just a unique skin, in some cases, adjust the effect of your attacks.

I'd say wait for the time being.

Not only are they changing how pre-cursor weapons are got (they mentioned scavanger hunt), but they'll be introducing new weapons, meaning one might also have the look you want.

Although, you could start getting Gold, Karma and Badges of Honour, since these seem a given.

I´m startíng to save in hopes the second round of legendaries bring something cooler than bolt. I dont wanna spend 500g on bolt and then 1 month after it comes a freaking badass shadow sword or something like that.

essentially, look through the posted videos and screenshots of the legendaries that have been made, and then answer the following questions:

1) Do you like any of the skins?
2) Do you want to spend the time for something with no better stats than highest-rated gear already in the game?

If the answer to either of those questions is no, then no its not worth it.  But its something entirely subjective to yourself.  For me, I don't really like any of the skins enough to warrant spending any time on them at all, so I won't get any of the current legendary weapons.

As of right now, infused weapons will not be in the game as of the next update.  The only things that will have the ascended stats with the infusion slots are rings and a back accessory.  Anet stated they will add more in the future, but for right now don't worry about it as no weapons or armor have the stats.

It comes down to you.
If you believe a skin is worth the time it takes to get, go for it.
I personally like nearly every skin, but as I don't have the time to work on them, I'm just sticking to regular exotics.

Do you have a spare 700+g?  Does the idea of getting 700+g sound like something you can do while still having fun? If not, don't go for a legendary.

Personally, I'd not spend 250g on most of them so have no interest in spending 700+ getting one.  I'd much rather not farm that much gold - especially as the weapon my main uses is a staff and I don't like that skin in the slightest.  Maybe, just maybe, I'll get a legendary later on after I break the 1,000g mark and if they introduce a new cool skin but the current ones, at the current prices... zero appeal.  That said, if you have the gold and really like one of the ones that are available to your class then sure, get it.

If you got a precursor yet, yes, you can plan to work on it. If you're still going around with your cheap AC sword, well up to you.
I would say focus on new content and wait new weapons and new legendaries then decide

Yeah 2 reasons not to actually:

More stat gear
Anet is "doing something" about the precursors (a.k.a impending price crash)

Don't go for a legendary until a few days after the patch so you know what's going to happen.

If you need to ask if you should invest in one, then the answer is no. You shouldn't spend resources on something that doesn't make you think "must have" the moment you see it, at least not on the level Legendaries are at.

There's nothing wrong with stocking up on mats now though.

do you really think they'll introduce new legendaries every like 2-3 months? i'm pretty sure its 1 set per year otherwise they wouldn't really be that legendary

They already said they will introduce new legendaries with the expansions so yeah. You are pretty much basing your statement in what you think.

I have no clue when but:

We will slowly add the remaining ascended gear items and legendary items in future updates to allow people time to acquire them as we add exciting new content that deserves exciting rewards.

I hope you know new ascended weapons are going to be a looong time coming. We're just getting jewelry this time around and armor will probably take president over weapons the next time they release new ascended stuff.

If you really want a particular legendary then go for it. ANet have said that legendaries will always be top tier. But bear in mind that new legendaries will be added in the future (e.g. the new gift of ascension from the new dungeon).

I would start working toward one or two legendaries, slowly. At the moment, they are just flashy looking eye-candy. However, Arena Net announced that they will get a stat boost to be better than everything else and from that point on, remain better than anything else.

Like everyone else has stated the legendary gives you nothing but a different look (skin).

If that skin really appeals to you that much then by all means go get it.

If not then don't.

Just play the game, if you try to rush  / grind your way to legendary it won't be very fun or enjoying. You get legendary stuff just by playing. Set yourself little goals and just play.

You will get it eventually.

^^^ A thousand times, this. Legendaries are, by Anet's own confession, meant to be a long-term goal. And the way they're currently set up, the amount of effort it takes to get one is proportional to how soon you want it. If you're cool with waiting a few months for it, its mostly a matter of not blowing your karma and of doing the right dungeons in the meantime.
