Suspended from GW2 Forum. Anyone else?

Just tried to log into the GW2 forums. Found that I was suspended without any reason given and no time frame given.
I did not troll, insult or did any bad behavior. The only thing I did was strongly disagree with the Ascended items in the new patch.
I even gave proof on each of my points made, like earlier statements from Anet, proving that they turn back against their earlier wording and promises against gear progression / power creep.
Everything I wrote was backed up with facts, calling out Anet on their change of practices and requesting a response to their total changes in policy.
The only conclusion I can think of is the Anet does not like to be shown that they have turned away from their "manifesto" and being called out on it.
I cannot believe Anet would just suspend anyone for disagreeing with them. Has anyone else been suspended, because you did not agree with Anet?

Did you create new threads instead of using the merged thread, by chance?

so..now it depends on the company. do they accept it or not? i take arenanets forum controle over forum controle of blizzard, simply because it gets filtered from unconstructive complains.
nothing against you, i didnt know your post. maybe it was highly constructive, but ive seen too much ba dposts and the poster claimed he was on the right side. in the end, wording, facts and how you present it does matter. nothing good comes out of simple complaining, if arenanet doesnt want it like this, then w ehave to agree ... if we dont like it, dont post there..

Yeah I even got a bit out of hand in that thread without a suspension so... they might've misclicked given the literally hundreds of flame posts they're getting at the moment

Did not create any new thread. But I did post on multiple threads that got merged on this issue.
I got this infraction, for saying that Anet turned it back on it's promises once, how can we trust them not to do it again. In which, I wrote back to the moderator asking him in why I was infracted and asking him what part of my post was not true.

If I were you I would message Anet for a full explanation as to why your forum account has been suspended and would keep bugging them until you get a response.

I'm surprised that got you in trouble, considering a lot of people have said just that in a lot of ways in the main thread. I'd hate to be a mod on that forum or this one right now with the rage storm Ascended has stirred up. Hope you get it straightened out or find out why it happened, anyway. At least it's just a suspension.

Yeah, I'm more careful over there than usual, I know how they can be, I'm surprised more people haven't gotten in trouble and more posts deleted, seems like they're riding it out more than trying to contain it, except to contain it to one thread. I actually logged in and was happy I didn't have an infracted message.

Well technically you broke the rules
Do not cross post. Post your message once in the appropriate sub-forum and nowhere else; otherwise it will be locked or removed without warning.
If you break the rules, here's what you've given Anet permission to do
You agree that ArenaNet may take whatever steps it deems necessary to maintain a suitable forum environment at its sole discretion and without notice to you.

Still, GW2 is worth the $60. Something to play when I get bored, or miss my characters, or whatever.

Congratz to Anet if that is true, for becoming a company I cannot trust to do right by me for their customer base. Oh well, live and learn.

I suppose they feel that Forums are not the place for complaints that's best left to direct contact with the company, unless they have a forum section for complaints.
I guess its a fair point, if I had a complaint I might want to put it on a forum in case others felt the same way and we could all apply pressure for a change.
On the other hand its unfair to anet as if they join in the thread to refute the complaint it could easily get out of hand.
I must make sure to phrase any complaints I make in the form of a question or suggestion.

I... what...
Why can't people understand that ANet is a business. They don't give a shit about you, they just want your money. If it makes business sense to ban you from the forum because you make too much sense when disagreeing on a decision that they took about their product, they will ban you without even blinking.

Totally agree with you. It is just sad that a company that I boosted for years to my friends as the only one that can make an interesting MMO without the hated gear grind has become what it is today.
Although I am unhappy with the new Ascended gear, what makes me angry and displeased the most is the way they handle their forums, customer feedback and now this suspension.
Thanks for all your feedback. In the future, will know not to disagree logically with Anet.

Sucks mate if that's what they have done. It's worth contacting them though to get them to spell it out. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see them limiting damage by spuriously banning some vocal accounts. If I were you, they would wish they hadn't banned me. There are plenty of gaming news websites out there that might be interested in this story and could definitely ramp up the pressure on Anet. I would be sending out a few e-mails to give them a heads up about how the community is up in arms.

Well in short there is no such thing, it`s a virtual thing that politicians like to use (as a term) when they need to be re-elected.
You have been suspended banned because Anet (staff) didn`t like your post(s), believe me i got lot of hit`s with "bannstick" over the years.
This is the main reason i so much prefer fansite`s insted of official ones, actually here you really have freedom of speach (unless you act like an real ass) !!!

I got banned for this:

I didn't know there was chat ban of 1 hour for posting 3 times a message - the game does not tell you about it - so I politely asked solutions.
And I get an infraction?
That post wasn't about forum/game account suspension/termination.
Way to know nothing about forum moderation.

Also, in all the other threads that have been posted like this, the poster has eventually demonstrated pretty well why they were banned. Your snippy remarks in your last few posts indicate why they might have seen the need to discipline you. How they carry out that discipline is up to them, and again, we can't see the specifics of the situation, so we can't judge whether it was justified or not. Whatever the case, you need to take if up with them, not the community here.
But rest assured, if hundreds of people start having the same problem, we'll be the first to let everyone know.
You are fooling yourself, user. Nothing here is what it seems. ANet is not the plucky hero, Guru is not an evil empire, and this is not the grand arena.
Questions about moderation? For the love of Balthazar ask them here!
