The Triforge Pendant the most expensive, time consuming amulet in the game right now and is around 80-90 gold. You have to create 3/4 items to combine them into it. Its like a mini legendary in a way, requires alot of matarials but it is not classed as a legendary it is classed as an exotic.

Now do you think the Ascended Amulet / Pendant when it comes out sooner or later will be higher stats than the triforge pendant?

Since it is now Exotic >> Ascended, will the triforge pendant worth 85 gold at the moment be worthless compared to the Ascended Amulet when it comes out because it will have higher stats than the exotic triforge pendant?

Speculation is speculation.  Its rather pointless.  Do I think the new neck piece when ever it comes out will have more stats? No I dont. Could it be equal? possibly.  Do we know and is there any reason to waste mental energy on it as its at least one more content patch away? Nope.

Ascendant gear seems to have 4% more stats than exotics, that means the ascended amulet would carry around 227 stat points plus the Infusion.  The Triforge Amulet has 240 stat points plus the upgrade slot plus 5% crit damage.  So, I think while the gap will narrow its only going to be if the Infusion is necessary that the Triforge Amulet is no longer BiS.  If it's worth 90g is a different question!

Well basically i was wondering because the Triforge is exotic and im guessing there will be a similar Triforge Ascended Amulet that will be better.

Since now the gear goes exotic >>> Ascended.

Like runes of divinity, the triforge is worth so much because of how it evenly spreads out the stats. Unless one of these ascended amulets is like that, I doubt that the triforge will become useless.

Also what will happen to the 3 Pendants, the triforge is created from? Will they get their stats boosted to ascendant level? Would make sense to me, because they are really expensive compared to normal amuletts.

I hope they will, I don't want to replace my Sapphire Pendant with something else, having it equipped reminds me of Zelda everytime I press "H".

Maybe a triforge ascended will be added. One day. Maybe not. Keep posting it on every next patch, one day maybe a dev will take care of it. Or just ignore it at all

I've asked this on the official german foruns, since I own a Sapphire Pendant

Question: What happens to the Triforge/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Pendant?

He claims, this items will still have a niche and provide better service, than items with an infusion slot (which implys they will not become ascended), but especially in areas under the influence of agony they will loose their importance. Then he compares this to gw1 and asis, there were items, that were demanded and expensive for a certain period of time, but lost their value with an update. He gives some exaples for that, and claims, this will always happen and is a normal process in MMOs, even without a gear treadmill. Even in gw1 that had no gear treadmill players changed their gear, not only because of the skin, but also because they wanted a different stat combination for a certain build.

This translation may not be accurate, since I'm not a native english speaker.

Well with the new ascended items Amulets coming out looks like I called it correctly when it came to the Triforge Pendant / Amulet. Anyone still think it won't be worthless after this new update?

I was speaking to someone in game the other day who said Anet would not let it happen because of the name "Triforge" being part of Anet's history etc or that the pendant would be upgraded in stats but does not look like that will be the case now.

Does this mean all exotic jewellery will be pointless now since they have no skins or cosmetic value and new ascended items are coming out more often?

Well i can tell you 1 thing that makes the Triforge Pandent not worthless when an ascendet counterpart comes out and its the fact that you can put your own upgrade in it
I imagine that the ascendent amulet will have an upgrade like bonus that is spread among all stats(much like the solaria and lunaria rings) which makes the bonuses smaller for each stat unlike the triforge which you can take it for its distributive stats and put an upgrade that makes it focus on some of its stats to a certain degree and made for certain builds that focus on some of its stats(much like what the german guy answered you)

Triforge is expensive due to the ingredient list to make it. A Lunaria and Solaria ascended ring is comparable with its stat dispersion but is a whole lot easier to obtain than a Triforge pendant. An exotic upgrade slot is more customizable but if you stay with the default upgrades, the Ascended equivalent still has better stats. The problem is if whether they will release a Amulet with a bunch of stats or not. if they don't than Triforge still has no comparison. Logically, they should make an Ascended "triforge" type amulet, but it seems to indicate that the new amulet will be a not so difficult item to get if they advertise it so hard.

They probably will add an ascended amulet of similar stats, not upgrade the current one.  The only reason it's expensive is due to the mats involved, not due to its stat distribution.

honestly I don't see the draw for a cover-all stat bonus.  You're just hurting yourself overall, going with specific stats tailored to your build is going to make you better overall considering how much numbers matter in combat.

I agree better to go specific stats than spread out over every stat, but I don't think they will add an ascended stats triforge amulet to the game.
