Depends on how you build said class. Engineers can be complete ass for DEs or they can be awesome. Or try using a Warrior with a double rifle setup. That'll get you far, haha.

Each profession has way to tag mobs and deal aoe dmg, with the right setup. Of course ele's have the easiest time.

Mesmers. They have 1 aoe that can consistently tag and its base cooldown is 35 seconds :X

lol @ people saying Mesmer. You got Greatsword skill 4, Mirror Images+F1, Chaos Storm, Blink towards big group+Blurred Frenzy, and lots more AoE skills.

I actually have an easier time tagging enemies on my Mesmer, than on my Ele.

Ever tried tossing a Warden into the middle of a group of mobs followed by a Berserker? Its like a Warrior doing a 360 hundred blades while at the same time doing the spin. That will most definetly tag a few mobs... Especially when you explode them afterwards.

Its not the AoE that make the Mesmer bad - they have TONS of AoE. Its the ramp up time that kills it. In DEs where there are so many players all mobs dies in less than a second, the Mesmer is pretty ass.

All professions are good enough IMO, I don't believe there is a "worse profession". Some classes seem to demand more from the player (e.g Mesmer) but even in a zerg one can rack up golds on an "underdog" if they play smart.

You're overselling it. Warden is stationary, so mobs sometimes run out of the full spin duration before they've been hit enough times to be tagged. Its AoE is pretty small and it dies to a breeze.

You pretty much explained another reason why Mesmers are bad at DE zergs too

You mentioned 3 different sets of weapons skills. Some with short CD and some with 16(if traited) and 35 seconds and Utility skills with sizable CD's. So you find having to micro manage 3 different weapons skills on different CD's only being able to switch out weapons when not in combat and having to use some of them with Utility skills on a completely different CD harder then an Ele?
I find that very hard to believe. You must have a very weird way of playing your Ele.
Yes Mesmer can tag mobs but it is a ton of work.

Both my thief and Engi I can practically be asleep compared to tagging with my Mesmer.
