Four of the seven tracks (intercepts, recoveries, fumbles, steal) can be earned through exploitative play. Recoveries are the worst because of those four, they are the hardest to get in normal play. It's almost unnatural to ever get a recovery if you're playing well.
When I first played Keg Brawl a little shy of two months ago, I found plenty of people who would play against me, likely because the arena was fresh and people enjoyed it. After becoming proficient with throwing the keg though, I think I scared off a lot of people with my skill of being able to toss straight into the keeper.
I stopped playing on the tenth of last month, as I had maxed all of the achievement tracks on that day and was tired out of playing so much Keg Brawl. Since I had taken screenshots of when I reached certain milestones, I can tell you that I reached 50 recoveries after my first 250 wins, then changed how I played to get to 203 recoveries at 470 wins (I got 500 assists at the same time), and then abused the hell out of it to max recoveries and interceptions (351 at 470 wins) before clocking my 500th win. If I had gone for it legitimately, I would have been stuck in the arena for another three to four weeks to max those recoveries.
Two fixes they ought to be making is to despawn kegs that are tossed outside of the arena's fence and to prevent achievements from registering off the same target too many times in one short period. They probably won't be getting around to that any time soon though, and they also probably won't be getting around to fixing the title track so that it actually works and gives me my title.
