Staff + Sword/Pistol

This is a build I've been running for the past month, which I have found to be very effective in all dungeons. (Except hitting those damn burrows in AC)

This build supports team with party wide boons (Winds of Chaos/Chaos Storm/Signet of Inspiration)
Inflicts AoE Conditions (Winds of Chaos/Chaos Storm)
Inflicts large amounts of single target bleed (Sharper Images/Duelist with 85% crit chance)
3 Signets that boost your Boons/Conditions, and can be used for distortion when needed (Blurred Inscriptions)

Critical Infusion will give you the ability to dodge often, which will create clones (Deceptive Evasion) which you can use offensively or defensively (More distortion)

Change your second and third utility as needed (Feedback/Blink/Decoy)

Gear I use is...

Full Rampager's Armor, with Runes of Lyssa
(Casting an elite will remove every condition, and grant you every boon, which you can give to allies near you with Signet of Inspiration)

Rampager's Trinkets

Rampager's Staff with Sigil of Strength
Power/Tough/Vit Sword with Sigil of Fire (Little extra survivability when up close)
Rampager's Pistol with Sigil of Accuracy

Is this the same build you were using for another video post you did?

Yes.

Thanks, your build is pretty interesting as you did not go the usual route of putting in Decoy and Mirror Images. (But do you actually throw them in on occasion?) I also like the fact that you injected utilization of Distortion for some timely defense, to be contrasted to a build that attempts on focusing on it purely.

I've read the use of Lyssa on a Guardian and it was pretty awesome read - I think it has better uses on a Mesmer though. I just wonder how much it is right now on TP.

Some questions if you don't mind.

1) What's you take on other people preferring a focus on Power/Precision/Critical Damage as opposed to your gear suggestion?

2) With so much Condition Damage stack, do yo ever use Imbued Diversion?

A power precision crit build is much better suited for just general farming, and tagging mobs.
For a mesmer in dungeons, I feel other professions are much better at dealing raw damage, So i feel much more useful running as part support (and it's much more fun than the boring GS imo.)

As for imbued diversion, I don't think it's affected at all by condition damage.

But you get to inflict Confusion on more than one target, not just the target of the Illusions. (As the description says.)

I was thinking that all this time Diversion had an AOE effect, and then I saw that trait.

Sorry for double-posting.

Maybe I'm just not familiar which among the Shatter Skills are AOE. Was thinking that Imbued Diversion would have been a great addition since you stack so much Condition Damage. Using F2 will have an AOE effect.

But then again, all your Shatter Skills inflict Confusion with the Minor Trait iRetribution.

imbued diversion causes daze, not confusion. (F3)
Confusion isn't very useful in PvE, since mobs attack so slow, its possible it will come off before it causes any damage.
