I;m debating whether four 15-slot bags for 2g was a better deal than four 18-slot bags for 10g. It's 12 extra slots for 8g.
I think you got prices wrong. unless i bought mine differently.
15-slot bags for 60silver~
18-slot bags for 2g
20-slot bags for 10g

For those 8g, you can get about 800 gems right now which is 2 additional bag tabs if i remember correctly.
So its far cheaper right now to simply buy bag slots with low-slot bag, instead of upgrading the bag itself.
Also, its quite easy to manage space trough salvage kits thanks to the 'deposit collectibles' function.
and Xanarot is right. its far cheaper to buy bag slot expansion on your MAIN rather than buying a larger bag.
I think budget is the issue here. how much would you be willing to spurge on your bag spaces.
here's a little breakdown.
current exchange rate is 94silver~ for 100gems
roughly 4g for an extra back pack slot.
roughly 10silver for a 10slot back pack
roughly 20 silver for a 12slot back pack
roughly 60silver for a 15slot back pack
roughly 2gold for a 18slot back pack
roughly 10gold for a 20slot back pack
[Standard Back Pack + 3x 10-slot bags]( 50 spaces): 30s
[Standard Back Pack + 3x 12-slot bags]( 56 spaces): 1g less
[Standard Back Pack + 3x 15-slot bags]( 65 spaces): 2g
[Standard Back Pack + 3x 18-slot bags]( 74 spaces): 6g
[Standard Back Pack + 4x 15-slot bags]( 80 spaces): 7g
[Standard Back Pack + 5x 15-slot bags]( 95 spaces): 11g
[Standard Back Pack + 6x 15-slot bags](110 spaces): 16g
[Standard Back Pack + 7x 15-slot bags](125 spaces): 20g
[Standard Back Pack + 6x 18-slot bags](128 spaces): 24g(pointless if you've already unlock the 7th bag slot)
[Standard Back Pack + 7x 18-slot bags](146 spaces): 30g
[Standard Back Pack + 7x 20-slot bags](160 spaces): 84g
The list above on the time of this post is the cheapest combination of bags in ratio to space and gold.
for the record im using Standard Back Pack +7x 15-slot bags
