You're kidding me with the environments right? Dragon Age has woeful environments and a massive lack of polish, invisible walls, floating trees, and very low poly props (look at the wine barrels for a really bad example) are all present in the game. Environments are not dragon ages strong point.

I'll grant you that Blade & Soul has some nice outdoor lighting effects. Other than that, I really don't see any area where their environment visuals excel.
Got a question? Feel free to drop me a PM.

I just want get a crack at the game in a free first month deal or something.

More than likely it's grinding to hell like Aion, but I particularly want to see what mechanics they are using to blend a Fighting game style into a MMO world.

The characters are an absolute abomination. I can't possibly express how much I disdain that over-sexualised anime style. Why would I want to play a game that markets its self towards the most primitive and immature gamer? I suppose in technical terms they look decent enough. The models are detailed, the animations are passable.

The art style? A complete sell out. Nothing more than the most clichéd, pathetic attempt to hit the market of teenager males. Zero originality, zero appeal to me.

Well.. I like Loli Kittys.....

Meh, looks solid.  I would probably give it a run if GW2 wasn't coming out at the same time as it.

If it doesn't have a subscription fee then I won't mind checking it out :)

The game looks like it could be tons of fun....But its WAY too oversexualized...This game would almost be an embarasment for me to play >__>

The animations and models are nice, but the femals characters wear practicaly nothing, and the clothes they do wear seem to be straps, and belts and danglies, the rest being skin...not to mention the blatent outline of massive boobs. Maybe a little too perverse for my likeing...but i may have to give it a try

Merged with the existing Blade & Soul thread. We don't need a new thread every time a trailer comes out.

As for the visuals: The environments are about on a par with something like Dragon Age, but not quite as polished looking. Not that impressive, to be honest. That hardly surprises me, as the art team appears to have spent a lot more time elsewhere...

Yeah, gotta agree.  I mean, this is a signature I've seen on another forum.  Clearly, this game appeals to certain types of people.

B&S 'might' be successful in the Asian market but it won't be very successful in the West.  The action type of gameplay is great though and it has opened many doors for mmo's to come :D

Graphics are win.  Grind is fail.

And we already have a discussion on Blade & Soul.

the graphics are nice but everything else i don't like. stupid races. stupid classes. the fighting looks stupid as well and i doubt the actual game will reflect what you see in the trailer.

The developers invested a LOT into the game's graphics, but that is bound to cause an imbalance on everything else. Continent of the Ninth and Mabinogi Heroes are going down that same route. They are trying to start the "next-gen" MMO bonanza, but I honestly think they are going way ahead of themselves. Eye candy is great, but it will only bring players so far.

GW = No grind
B&S = grind

Why not please both markets with 2 different games at the same time!

Graphics are nice, amount of blood is done well, races are idiotic (it's just humans of different sizes + a furry race), animation is nice, looks like they put little thought into the professions, I like what I saw of the enemies (that super fat giant reminded me how I was wanting to see some fat afflicted for lulz in Factions, and how there are no fat enemies at all in GW).

As Maglama said, it looks like the developers put too much into graphics and animations, that it's bound to lack elsewhere. Whether in storyline, balance, or background lore - the last is already shown to lack - is to be seen.

It will be just one more poorly translated Asian mmo only Asians seem to like.
Looks like Aion... come to think of it... After reading wiki, they might just use Aion's engine for graphics so it doesn't necessarily mean they will spend all their time on making sure game looks good.
Professions look awfully lot like those from Line Age 2 from what Ive seen in the trailer... so...

... who is up for playing Failon skinned FailAge 2 ? =)

I believe it's running on the lastest Unreal Engine.  Anyways, the art and animations look stellar, but how's the depth of gameplay?  If I can't own it with from one purchase, the game better blow my mind with more than a pretty picture.
