Im glad they all look like crap, RNG gambling in MT store is bullshit way of making money in an MMO.

Well, people disliked having to buy keys to use for gambling, so ArenaNet came up with a "better" solution. Instead of selling the keys, they're selling chests directly. There you go: problem solved... or not.

Doesn't change the fact that it's still RNG based. Funny how after all these years of ArenaNet condemning RNG, the game is heavily based on it. Then, when we come here and say they didn't deliver what they promised, we are met with replies such as: "it's your own fault for falling for the hype" or "they might have wanted to do that, but it was too hard/time-consuming". As if having non-RNG dependent systems would be hard to implement. What a joke.

I would drop more money than sounds sane on *pretty* gear, that I'm guaranteed to get. I will spend $0 on things that are ugly and RNG. I wish their cash shop "expert" understood this.

I only buy stuff that I know I'll get. I bought 2 sets of the Halloween Minis, and got all 4. I bought the Mad King and Witch outfit. I use my Black Lion keys only when they drop or are given to me as rewards. I'm not a gambler. So unless they decide to put armor and weapon skins in the shop directly then I guess I'll find other ways of getting them.
I love ANet, but will not waste money on Random Number Generators. I'll spend more money are a sure thing than wasting it on a maybe.
So if we just don't buy stuff like that, from the TP then they may get the hint.

30 consortium chests and not a single item that is worth a dime, load of crap looking items. So i wander how much gold should one invest in this sorta crap so he gets something good. I got fooled by anet, and man do I feel stupid as hell right now -.-
also i wonder is there any retarded person that would give real money to buy. Some 60 bucks for skins that look like CRAP with no imagination. Way to go Anet.

Only buy 2 of those chests .. nothing interesting in it and will not buy anymore. Frankly I think Anet is doing this incorrectly. Why dont they just sale those  at the gem store directly? Forcing us to play some slot machine is just silly.

Yeah, same. I have zero interest in this, especially since the minis (which I think are really cute) are "very rare." For me, pouring real world currency into something I probably wouldn't even get sounds like the opposite of fun. I'd rather save my gems for when I know exactly what I'm getting.

At Halloween, I paid for a costume and the minis, and got a costume and the minis, didn't bother opening any chests other than what I'd gotten for free - and I felt satisfied with my purchase and didn't feel like I'd missed out on the fun. I'm sure I'll feel the same way about this.

I don't actually mind this stuff existing. I just don't intend to participate, because it's not my thing. I'm really excited about the new plotline, and don't need to bother with the RNG stuff to enjoy it.

As i stated i was stupid and sure thing is I will not make that mistake again. I just wanted to share my frustration and maybe warn everyone that was going to do the same mistake.
Worst thing is that skins for all the armor class look the same but they had to make them for each armor class so that they could scam players some more grinded gold or if someone was really naive real money. It's worst scam by my account then those guys selling and scamming in chat for gold, and even they were doing it better then arena net ever will looks like it. Makes me wanna create a bot to farm that gold back but I'm not that kind of scumbag to do it.

That is a smart scam, I have to admit it.  Hype up Lost Shores, don't release the content yet, but introduce a new chest for people to buy the new skins at the meantime.  Furthermore, states that the chest is only available for a limited time.  Of course it is only for a limited time, after they have released the content, too many people would have gotten the new skins for free.

By the way, now would be a good time to sell gems for gold...lol

Mini's are 20+ gold each on TP lol. So not worth it.....RNG gambling GG Anet.

This is why i was always against having mini pets in the gem store all along since beta....

It should of been collecting mini's from in game content, hunting, scavenger hunts around the world and unlocking them,

Not this crap.

I will buy more character slots.
I will not repeat not buy anything that simply looks different, I will not say better because so far your and my views seem to be at odds.

You want money we don't mind you having money but we are picky and will not waste our money.

Tomorrow I can buy a lottery ticket and I may win a few million though probably not.
For the price of a ticket I can buy a bl key where I think there is even less chance of winning a few million.
Or I can buy one of the new chests, so here is my plan.

Given the things I can buy from your store I will instead by a lottery ticket each week and should I get the winning ticket I will buy everything in your store.
I cannot say fairer than that.
