Nothing, weapons, armor anything the transmutation stones do nothing it likes the item they are the same bow for bow , boots for boots even the same level sometimes. I can't transmute anything!!! What could I be doing wrong? Any suggestions appreciated.

If even one item is level 80, you need a fine transmutation stone.

Are the two items you are trying to transmute the same weight? i.e. heavy boots with heavy boots? The two items to be transmuted must not only be the same kind but the same weight class.

yes they are identical in weight and even level

Did you make sure to select the appearance/stats of whichever ones you prefer?
