Title basically says it all.

Before you start a Dungeon you can choose a difficulty.

Easy
Medium
Hard
Very Hard

or maybe something more creative you guys can come up with

Recruit
Soldier
Knight
Dungeon Master
(I know these are not that creative)

- There could maybe be a added difficulty that is Very Easy, for if you want to solo a dungeon yourself.

- The easy the difficulties have crappier loot.

- The harder the difficulties has amazing loot.

What do you think?

Any ideas?

From the start dungeons were supposed to be the challenging content. Story mode is fairly easy whereas explorable mode is for more adept, coordinated groups. Dungeons are not supposed to be solo-able and I think the difficulty levels are fine as it is. Most explorable modes are even really easy with a semi-coordinated group.

There was a similar system in Dungeons & Dragons: Online, I liked how I could decrease/increase the difficulty depending on what kind of group I was doing it with (solo/PUG/coordinated group).

But since you can't solo in GW2 I think the current system works well enough. And the new dungeon that's coming soon has a more interesting difficulty system (increased difficulty every time you enter it).
