Not too long ago I decided to compile all of my farming knowledge into one source, a video to save everyone time and gold when crafting a legendary weapon.

There are quite a few different parts of making a Legendary Weapon, this video covers primarily the farming part only. You might say all of it is farming but what I am talking about is farming that involves in game currency, not Karma, Skillpoints or Dungeons. I go over how to get all of the Lodestones, Precursors and the required Gold. I included only these parts because people seem to say that these parts are the most annoying/least enjoyable to do. Thus, I decided to make a video helping people overcome the annoying parts!

I hope you enjoy!

Not to be too picky, but you can make 3g+ an hour just farming plinx and camps in Orr, especially since Anet's anti-botting campaign made the price of T5/T6 mats go nuts. That's almost certainly the way to go if you just want big gold/hr returns. You can farm it all day if you want, so it's simpler than doing gathering runs, plus the reward is greater.

Also for dungeon runs, a quick AC full clear takes an hour or so and nets 2g or more plus tokens that can be exchanged for exotics. The exotic weapons can be thrown into the forge.

Personally, I kinda gave up on farming recently and I'm starting to just screw with the TP for gold. I can buy stuff while I'm asleep then wake up and turn a profit.

EDIT: My biggest tip would be always keep 50g+ in reserve in case an opportunity springs up for you to invest in. You don't want to miss out on easy gold just because you spent it all on mats for your half completed legendary.

Plinx definitely is a great way to make money but I usually hit a DR there after 5 or 6 Plinx runs at which point you'd need to take a break.

However you're definitely right with the T5/6 mats, the video was made before they shot up in price. Now -All- mats are going for triple or even quadruple their initial prices.

My feeling is it will last because bots were the cause of it being lowered. The biggest downside to Plinx and any Cursed Shore event though is past noon when people really start to flock to the event it gets harder and harder to get credit for mob kills. Even in a group sometimes it's hard for some classes (such as my Thief, I don't have much decent AoE. Sure, I have a Short bow but still, I have to wait for my arrow to lob to the the targeted area, even if I am right on top of it it's still not instant which is sometimes too slow =( )

Sometimes I think I hit DR than I realize I'm just in a retarded group.

i.e. Not hitting the same mobs or standing around beating on a veteran for 4 minutes while completely avoiding about 50 non-veteran mobs that actually drop loot.

What is this DR you speak of? Even after a few 8 hour sessions of pen/shelter I've yet to see this DR cap...............

The Diminishing Returns seem to be completely and utterly random when it triggers. I've farmed all day and never got it and than I farmed for an hour and got it.

You probably don't hit it because at Shelter's Gate there are many different types of mobs you fight, Wraiths, Spiders and Undead at events like Plinx you're fighting mostly just Undead with an occasional Ooze on part 2.

Doesn't restart as quick as it used to. No big deal, can tunnel farm while waiting.

Will help a lot with DR too. Used to hit it extremely fast when farming Plinx.
