FOTM rerollers Gone?

FOTM rerollers weren't here for Dancing dagger or cloak and dagger, they made thiefs to backstab shit.

I wish people like this would learn to play. That isn't an insult, it's just that either you are A)being sarcastic, or B)don't know how to play a thief.

Neither of those will affect backstab really, plus the only place I really used a backstab build was in WvWvW and it got a slight buff.

well for one the BS spec got nerft because they nerft CD with 33% and last time i lookt you used it in the BS combo

That's why i said "barely", sure you use C n D in the BS combo and the damage was nice, but it was a small % of the total damage of the combo, most of it came from BS.

Instead the so-called FOTM BS build, we who don't use FOTM BS build got hit the most. So, like i said, you are still gonna cry for that FOTM build by next week since most thieves gonna roll that build now.

4-5k in sPVP for C&D isn't small, its a nice combo with mug+BS, so yeah, 33% lowers the DPS.

i don't cry i just don't like FOTM rerollers to me they are the worst kind of people. They got no intention of geting good they only want to get spoon feed and brag about how good they are.

Well shit, I got 1k damage shaved off of my 12k damage combo, because 70% of that combo is in Backstab. Gonna reroll now... or not.

Thief still needs nerfing.

I know, i dont like FOTM rerollers too, but this patch barely touch the so-called FOTM build. Instead most of us now pidgeon-holed into 2 viable builds, BS build or condition build. Ironic, isn't it? Lol

If anything this patched pushed a lot more thieves into the FOTM backstab build.

I always thought s/d was the fotm. I mean d/d or condition thf been out forever and are solid builds. PW was the last fotm before the nerf. But I didnt see many s/d until about 2 weeks ago.

The build was a decent compromise between the "1 sec and....you're dead lol", and condition thief. Sustainability mixed in with nice mobility, utility(daze lock down on key opponents), and decent damage. People liked it because it was a more diverse playstyle. Brought me back to playing thief in sPvP. Anet smashed it before it really got off the ground. Now its big damage, stacking bleeds or go home.

I still see just as many teams in hotjoins with 4-5 thieves on a team.  See ALOT more Elementalists tho.

In a duel, being the best shot isn't what the game is about. Making the other guy dead is what the game is about. We had a duel and now I'm dead. It doesn't matter that I was the best shot, what mattered is that I was a bad duelist for not making sure that you were dead, and you were a good one because you won.

The only true definition of "good" in a competitive game is that of winning.

They nerfed everything but FOTM builds. I hate the Might Stacking Backstab crap but I am forced to use it.

They nerfed balanced D/D
They nerfed S/D
They nerfed P/D

No changes to S/P or P/P

so if i kill someone because of mechanics that are overpower and favors retarded gameplay i'm better and more skillfull?

If the game has mechanics that are overpowered and favors retarded gameplay, gimmicks, "unfair" play, or anything similar... If that is true, then the skilful move is to use those retarded gimmicks, because it means that you win. So, yes.

That is, by the way, what sets good games apart from bad ones. Good games don't favor OP gimmicks.

I'm afraid that this is technically right, the basics of min-maxing. I can understand Fanatic though. Playing a Thief disgusts me to oblivion as they're complained about, most of my ennemies and allies are Thieves, and now the part that held S/D afloat got nuked.

Not everyone's wanting to be part of the 'dark assassins striking from the shadows killing in 2s and disappearing in the shadows'. But rather be scouts or.. fine duellists?

Me too! If ANet can make the thief a well balanced profession that's not about invisible lolspike but about knowing the game, tactical decisions, battle awareness, etc., I'd be very happy. The problem though is that in doing so, they must be very careful to not end up with either a nonmagical mesmer or a warrior with bad armor.

Eh, IMHO this game have too many classes.
