Haha.
I'm not sure if it was just because it was so laggy but that did seem kinda boring to do. No real effort required. Halloween Act I got a lot of flak but then it got a lot better with the other acts, I assume it'll be the same thing here.
Also these events should really repeat so i) people don't miss them and ii) they aren't so laggy because everyone's trying to do them at once.

And now one of the plot npc's is bugged as well, meaning we cannot progress with the story.
Yay for Anet.

ANET has no excuses now. We are 2/3mths into the game and by this time you think they would have gotten their crap right but No! Same blizzard ea crap. I am not an anet hater, i defended them for too long. I am now speaking the truth.
Now for my edit button, i believe the lag has cleared no?

It was just an unbelievable mess of people and katka, with dead players everywhere, things killing you from nowhere and skill unresponsiveness.
The event was really horrible and boring and frustrating and unsatisfying.
And... the big world changing event is that the katka destroyed the lighthouse? OMG my lungs nearly fell out of my head from all the shock!!
still love the game, but the event was shit.

1. They know already the kind of lag outdoor mass killing events will produce.
2. They decided to create enemies who are immune to all damage 75% of the time you fight them. So you have a situation where they start laying eggs, and you're able to attack once before you seize up. This fight should have taken five minutes, instead it was like twenty. Not fun at all.
3. No reward for doing it. Making it even more a sour note.
And that's all before you start another scavenger hunt, just to find that it's got a progression breaking bugged NPC.
EDIT: No surprise, Anet's brown shirt moderator team, is doing their best to hide as much of the negative feedback as possible.

Maybe it's just my overflow server but it took us 43 minutes to finish the event
