I just spammed Shortbow autoattack to invisible enemies.

Now i dont know what to do with the rest of the event, im just going arround with a crocked bar trying to open barrels or w/e. Is there anything to do/get?

The primary servers were swamped,. But I went to a couple overflow servers and things were fine.

Wanted to do it with my main at first, then swapped to engineer, placed turrets and went afk.

It was plain horrible

I learned after the entire event that they had fixed the servers during the vent and it wouldn't be as laggy if you waypointed in and out of LA >_>

After the battle talk to the various people with stars over their head in LA, read what they say carefully. Some will send you mail after you talk to them or will give you hints as to what to do.

ANet doesn't have to do special events like this at all. I bet you can't name a single other MMO that has done one, let alone three since launch, aside from EQ.

Threads should be a place for discussion, and there is little potential for that here. It's clear that quite a few people experienced lag. However, there isn't much to say beyond that without complaining or complaining about complainers, so I'm going to lock this.
