We saw them the other night. Was an exciting encounter. They outnumbered us a bit so we had to have a bit of misdirection. A dual attack on Hills and Bay simultaneously helped that out. Ninja'd Hills while all the excitement was going in in the Lord's room at Bay. [TL], your zerg may have taken Bay, but we got it back Good fights this week. Having a hell of a lot of fun out here, no matter what the ppt is at.

As for SoR, you all have showed a lot of resolve. The fact that you overtake or are even with us in ppt at many spots during the day says a lot. Our lead is about 40k, but it has stayed at that amount meaning SoR is playing even with us. That really shows how you've been playing no matter how the weekend went, Blackgate does always have the strongest weekend, as history has shown. Weekday coverage makes or breaks a server and you are certainly hanging with us thus far.

SoR are a very tough opponent and I have full respect for them. Sea of Sorrows has faced them on 3 occasions in the past 4 weeks, and I've found their level of organization, amount of coverage and general attitude to be really impressive. I believe that they are capable of matching it with tier 1. I know that Blackgate are very strong as well, in my view they are also at tier 1 standard, which is why I expected closer scores, it's still early in the week though and anything can happen.

And the reason why I asked about the guilds in my post is because I saw some people from KIWI and CRS on SBI this week, I'm worried that they might have moved (still waiting on confirmation) and exposed SOR a little more in their Oceanic time zones.

SoR's numbers seem to be down across the board.   I would guess it's a case of PS2 over anything else.   They are an extremely good server and a very hard fight.

It is the reaction that was going through my mind when I read the patch notes. I rerolled an engi and a warrior. You can't really argue with that guy's subtitles in that vid. I'm not gonna go on and derail your match thread. But seriously, look out for rangers. Their tooltips now display correctly.

I can't bring myself to give up on my ranger. It was always my intended main since beta. But yeah, things are rough. I have necro, ele, and a guardian that I'm leveling atm. Have a thief too, but I'm not going to be leveling that one for a while.

I'd just go with one of the others an give it up for a while. Maybe if nobody plays the damnthings the 2 devs will fix it. Seriously. They buffed underwater combat. How often does anyone really get into underwater combat and think their weapon skills need a buff. Nerf underwater downed state IMO.

planned retreats lol i personally was there for all 3 of those battles, first one you guys were completely routed(hint the running into water) so why would we continue to pursue. 2nd battle was clever on your part and i guess we can give you that one but again look at hillside as we supposedly "hid in garrison" and look at numbers on the hill, and for the 3rd you guys got owned from the start to finish, including your portal bomb that we watched your mesmer drop, watch as our whole force turns to engage. other then that it was enjoyable to see it from the other side

You know if was 10-15 SOR vs 10-15 of them I might talk trash but since it appeared to be 1000 SOR against a few and you still got pushed back I wouldn't be talking.

The SOR zergs are gigantic now and it looks like half of them are all levelled players.

Awesome fight tonight in IoJ BL... SoR and BG did NOT want to give up. It was a push right down to the wire.

IoJ - I just wanted to say, that the communication and teamwork we had tonight was incredible. There were too many guilds to list each individually, so I will just say THANK YOU to everyone who took part.

I've been fighting you guys all day and even though outnumbered heavily, I had a blast!

But I'm also really confused. 3 of us would get a camp and the whole zerg would fall back to get it. We moved to another camp and the whole zerg would follow. When you guys were out of supplies, we saw the whole zerg run off to come back to build 1 catapult... We're not talking about a group of 10 or 20... This was a good 40, if not even more... Is this really part of the strategy?

Ps. This could have been in SoR though, thinking about it.

Weren't these the 12 golems that were toasted by the oil at the inner door? Or are these another set?

Nonono, I mean no harm. I mentioned it because I find it funny, a friend in IoJ told me that pugs were using those lol. They were doing a fantastic job until they missed the oil in the inner, my friend was so pissed because he built 3 of those golems.

So far this week has been some of the most fun I've had in a long time in wvw, I'd quite happily stay in T2 for the fights alone. Huge diversity in the types of tactics used by each team, learned a few things here and there along the way... murdered a lot of people in the process

After 5 hours! I wasn't able to take down Red Overlook tho, best I did was to get inner wall to 1% and drain their supplies. Great fight ND, and the pugs too! IoJ does not disappoint.

Pangloss was awesome. My poor ranger was lagging so badly at one point (one of the screenshots has her complaining XD) I had to port out for my system to recover then run all the way back.

And the cow-flinging trebs were beautiful.

for some reason SOR  still has trouble with  supply, not sure why it should be easy .

yet many times you`ll see SOR all on off and pushing and then the`yy all port back to recap supply camps as all of theirs are captured , screwing up their forward push.

I keep hoping that they start setting up 10 people to act as a rearguard squad that just patrols their backlines killing  other team raiders and recaping supply camps, repairing a gate wall , killing enemy sentry etc .

While sending 3 groups north to act as skrimsh groups , to disrupt the other server supply  
as well as hitting towers, killing doylaks, and stragglers .and using diversion tactics etc.

allowing the main attack groups to focus on taking   key objectives instead of worrying about recaping supply camps in their back lines and hitting supply up north .

pretty much basic tactics and something every server has used against us  every week since start of game

  yet alas those tactics seem to confuse 70 % of the server and every week its like a deer in headlights when it is used against us .
